boomerang effect

    when vader throws the saber at luke on the catwalk did it come right back to his hand or did he go pick it up. i cant remember

    I watched it last night and I think he force pulls it back into his hand, but you don't see it on camera. I know it turns off cause he turns it back on a second later.

    Never mind it coming back mate, look at the way it spins! The axis of the spin is in the blade, rather than the centre of the handle. The blade has no weight, so it should centre around the handle with a HUGE destructive arc. If I didn't know better, I'd say he was throwing a stick at Luke :eek:

    Apparently it's explained by the unpredictable gyroscopic effects of the energy blade or some bobbins like that. Sounds a bit suss to me [face_plain]
