Hey. My mom got me this hilarious statue from the Puzzle Zoo, and I want to know more about it.

It's a statue of a younger Yoda (with longish brown hair), in a THONG, holding an un-lit lightsaber. It's about 6 inches tall, on a black base, and I would guess it's a bootleg or something.

I specifically remember seeing pictures of it a few years ago, but I can't find any info on it now. Adam at Galactic Hunter said he remembers it too, but doesn't know anything about it.

So does anyone know who made it? How many were made? When it was made?

If that's the figure I'm thinking of (how many half-naked Yoda statues can there be?), I have it too.

I believe it was originally made by a company called "Grey-Zon".

I'll see if I can dig up any more information on it.

Dude! I stumbled upon an online pic of that a couple years ago! For the longest time, I posted it up on messageboards as a glimpse of Yoda in action in Episode II!!! [face_devil]
Well, it made me laugh, anyway. [face_laugh]
At any rate, I have no idea what the answers are to your questions. I just thought it was a one-of-a-kind custom job that someone made. [face_plain]

You have to put a space before the smile to get it to work. They don't work if they're the first character in a message.

Well that's interesting. That picture is almost identical to the one I have, except on mine, his hair is brown, there's no loincloth (it's just a thong), the base is black and oval shaped, and there's no blade on the lightsaber (I can't tell if that was added later or is on the actual figure). But other than that, it's identical. Perhaps I have a bootleg of a bootleg? Or maybe this person decided to "improve" his half-naked Yoda. The one in the pic looks to have a better paint job too.

    Hmm....

Oh! Now I remember seeing that... it was prior to Episode II coming out.

I'm pretty sure it was a model kit. The differences in painting is simply because they were custom painted by whoever bought them. The kit didn't come with a base either, which explains the differences there. Mine is unpainted, and only has the "thong". I think the "loincloth" seen in the image above was added on by whoever bought it.

As for the lightsaber, I think the kit came with one. Perhaps whoever originally bought your kit decided not to glue the lightsaber on.

If Yoda's wearing that, what's Gollum wearing?

It looks pretty cool to me though.

From the auction that picture goes with:

ATTENTION STAR WAR FANS! You want something rare ..this is it!! Look this highly detailed Yoda is by far the Craziest coolest look ever that will blow any Star Wars fan away! Made like porcelain type material heavy! By far the rarest in production about 500 made. Brand new and comes in the BOX FOAMED protector. Makes this a Museum piece of Star Wars memorabilia! Just look at the pictures and see why this is by far the rarest Yoda look ever!

Other than that, I can't tell you anything. BTW, I just copied & pasted the auction text. Didn't bother correcting the poor grammar from the seller.

And yet, if you think about it...
what DOES Yoda look like under his robes?
Lucas himself describes Yoda as "a frog"!
Well, frogs generally DO have a head much bigger than their body. ;)

To me it looks like Yoda's and Gollum's secret love child.

LMAO that's EXACTLY what I was thinking Robert...hehehe. Gollum's body with Yoda's head on it, and he looks just as confused as we do.
