Is there anything that I can do in Milwaukee that won't get me lost/killed/ or mugged? I want to see a movie, but I can't find any near the Hilton City Center.I don't want to stay in my hotel all day.

Riverwest bars: The Gig, The Uptowner, Foundation, River Horse, Stone Fly Brewery

Bay View bars: The Highbury, Burnheart's, Home, Newport's

Downtown: There's only one place to go if you've never been to Milwaukee...The Safe House.

The problem is that I'm only 19 and I don't have a fake i.d. So any pubs or bars are out unfortunately.

The Safe House is a restaurant open for lunch and dinner as well. You'd only have to provide an ID if you ordered a drink. Seriously, go there. It's our city's hidden treasure.

Edit: Lemme find a link for you.

    Edit 2: http://www.safe-house.com/

Go. You'll need to know the password to get in. Frieda or I could tell you what it is I'm sure.

The good news is that it isn't THAT far to walk. The bad news is that you're staying at the Marc Plaza The Hilton. Wanna have some fun there? Go up to the 23rd floor, find the stairs, and take them up onto the roof. Actually, it's pretty crappy out right now.

Whatever you do don't go any further West on Wisconsin Ave. Not the greatest neighborhood.

I was gonna suggest reenacting the opening to Laverne & Shirley, but I see somebody has already kinda sorta beat me to it.

Yeah, the hotel is pretty crummy.Even the cheapo hotels I've stayed in had free wifi and cable.I found some new friends which helped and we are now playing an epic game of hide and seek on all the floors of the hotel.

I hate to say it but Milwaukee sounds like an absolutely terrible place.

You're sure they're not serial killers who saw that you posted on the internet about being bored in the Hilton City Center Milwaukee and schemed to befriend and murder you? Because that's certainly what broadcast-network crime procedurals have taught me to expect from this situation.

While you are making mock of the situation, I should note she has not posted in several hours since meeting these "friends."

I don't know, culinary students sound dangerous. Seems like they'd be very proficient at using knives...
