I think rotoers tinker with the color balances and everything and then Mae and Thrice change them to how they look best

 

We actually recommend that they send in the white cores only, so we can just slap on the color balancing, etc. So everything looks consistent.

As Far As I know the rotoers don't do any glows or color so they can all look consistent...I hope.

 

Outrider, if you're using the Ryan W. method I believe he tells you not to adjust the Shadow slider in the color balance panel, but to get a good-looking red blade, especially in light settings that wash out the glow, sometimes you have to. When I was messing around with an RvB clip I found a good-looking red blade at Shadow 75, Midtones 100, and Highlights 75.

 

You know that depends on the shot, you cant use that every single time, well you could but I wouldnt.

I know, I'm saying that sometimes you need to play around with the Shadow slider even if the method you use tells you not to. I used my experience with this clip as an example.

 

My red blade keeps going back and forth in front of a dark backround and grass. I went full before, but no one liked it. And yes, I am useing Ryan-W's method

Been a long time, but you guys have your reasons for needing extra time.
Despite not being a real fan of the fight clip, it'd be great to see it with glows.
Saber glows make one hell of a difference.
