Breaking the Ice, means, I guess, breaking Mara's icy barriers, as well as breaking ice literally. Yeah, and that too

Ok, my brain's smoking, but I couldn't come up with a suitable title.

How about these from my ultra-corny mind? -

'Lost in the heat'

'Heating the chill'

'The scalding water incident'

'Rubbing cold feet under the blanket' ?

'She pushed me onto the fire-place'

'The hot coal incident'



Ok, how about:

'Embers in a fire-heart'

Perfection, oba dear! This was wonderful. I, too, didn't think you were going to literally break the ice, but it certainly made for a wonderful vig. Your conversations between Mara and Luke are the best, and I love how you get inside Mara's head and show all the conflicting feelings she has about Luke.

How did I always manage to make a fool of myself around Skywalker? Crashing into a jungle with him, letting him influence my decisions ? something foolish at least to me ? and other events. Sithspawn. As in, Luke, the son of Vader, the ?spawn? of a Sith.

For some reason, this line totally cracked me up! I still can't figure why.

And now, some ideas...
"Mara the Burnanator" (OK, I've watched too much homestarrunner )
"Kindling the Flame"
"Not Too Cold, Not Too Hot" (just right... )

LianaMara: Titles! And thank you! And why did no one think I would literally break the ice? Ah well . . . everyone must have had that common saying in mind when they voted for the title. Yep, Mara is conflicted. She's like that a lot around him, actually, and it makes her do things she wouldn't normally.

I've always wondered what Luke thought about that curse - Sithspawn. So that's why I included that. It really had nothing to do with the story, and could have been left out.

Oooooh, Liana's titles don't say anything about cooling things off! Kindling the Flame sounds promising, oba. [face_hopeful]

Easy, when DRL gets in the way, but I finally read it was hilarious!!!!

Mara is so great in this! I love it when she's still at odds with Luke! Poor Lukie! He was just trying to be nice and thoughtful, and gets a slap in the end for it!

I Luke/Mara! I'll freely admit it!

I picked up my skirts ? the dreadfully impractical things ? and left the dance floor with as much dignity as I could muster.

*chuckles* I just love Mara's personality, and how well everyone portrays her. You especially, Oba!! Funny how people have more difficulty with Luke...

Anyway-this was really sweet! And I am going to read all the other ones too. The title fit perfectly with the story, something that is often hard to do. This was a sweet little piece that I quite enjoyed!

Naturally I slapped him.

Especially the ending...
