    Just thought I'd share my OC art...

    Watercolour Pencils have become my brain saver at work.

    Portrait of "Aube Skywalker" - my OC (of course) and Pem's "Ma-mere" of her diary.

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/aube2.jpg]

    Kay'leb, Aube's brother/Healer. Blinded by a brush with the Dark side of the Force, he's my 'bad boy', but I love him anyway.

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/Kayleb.jpg]

    "Luda" - known as a 'Bantha Butt' to Pem in her journal, Luda is a young traiee at the Temple.

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/luda.jpg]

    More to come soon, probably!

    And of course, Luke himself...

    That be some nice pieces you have going on there, breezy. :) I likes them all four of them and the young twi'lek is a cutie. I also like the way you have Kay'leb's irises faded. Keep up the good work.

    Hi there DarthBreezy, and welcome to the Fan Art forum! **waving** :D So glad you chose to share these pieces here--they're all lovely! I must ask: are you using watercolor, colored pencils or some other media...? I love the delicate blends you achieve, and the tones are lovely (I'm a complete dolt when it comes to color of any kind, so I'm always fascinated by those who can use it! :D ). Luke looks yummy--very good likeness there, and a wonderful sense of wistfulness on his face; I'd love to see you have a go at him again sometime! Aube and her brother are also great--the faded eyes are very eerie, but interestingly enough, he doesn't come across as scary because of it, so you did a great job of conveying his nature as a Healer! Aube is beautiful--her hair reminds me of a photo I saw recently of Keisha Castle-Hughes, a young Maori actress who had done her hair in a traditional way for an event...her eyes are very warm!

    Lovely work all around--thanks so much for posting these for us, and again--welcome!

    Hey ^___^ Glad you've decided to post these here, there all really nice ^^
    I love the young twilek, she's gorgeous [face_love] Such a cutie.
    And the first the "ma-mere" of the story, her face really suits her because it looks mature but still very pretty ^___^
    Looking forward to seeing some more !

    Hey all -

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

    Those were done with water colour pencils primarily, with the occasional regular pencil and a couple dashes of pastel pencils (for white and correction work).

    Just completed a different bust of Luke tonight, will probably do Carrie (Leia) tomorrow as I'm averaging one full piece a night, depending on call volume. Will scan the next back soon!

    All right! You will see more today! A couple of them are not as strong as others - one of Leia I think was too 'heavy', and some proportion issues with my adult Twi'lek (She must have a broken neck!) but the latter was done without the benefit of a model or any other reference. One I'm especially pleased with is on it's way, provided it will fit on the scanner bed!

    Well, the Twi'lek succumbed to "Darth No way", but instead I offer up the following...

    My OC Pem as a teen...

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/pem2.jpg]

    Kampher, her Gran-mere and Aube's and Kay'leb's mother...

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/kam-1.jpg]

    As I said, a little heavier handed than I'd like...

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/leia-1.jpg]

    My wistful Rebel Leader, Luke..

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/DarthBreezy/art/luke2.jpg]

    And my huge son of a gun - I had to piece it back together in Photoshop as he wouldn't fit on the scanner...

    These are really great! It is rare to be able to see original characters the way the author imagines them. A real treat.

    As for 'wistful Luke' - in both portaits there is something truly - I can't quite put my finger on it - introspective, and maybe even a little sad? My heart goes out to him.

    Beautiful work.

    How fortunate for you that you're also a gifted artist, and can illustrate your fan fictions yourself! It must be very satisfying, to be able to bring your own characters to "life" on canvas (and in color, no less!).

    Beautiful additions--Gran-mere looks wonderful! A lot of us have difficulty in portraying older faces (with wrinkles and lines and the evidence of years), but you've done a smashing job of it here: she looks so wise and gentle, someone who is rather unflappable, I'd say. Well done! I don't think Leia looks bad at all--I agree with the others who've commented on the "wistful" looks on both Luke and Leia here, too. I don't know if it was intended, but it gives a lovely depth to them both. And the Indy piece looks GREAT! Wonderful likeness--and I have to ask: how big is this? Having to scan it and reassemble it must mean it's at least 11 by 14 or bigger--kudos to you on something that ambitious!

    Lovely paintings, all!
