Looks like he's coming back at this point.
It's official. He's back. For the "last season" of his career, in a move he "owed" to the Vikings.
Wow, he actually got players to fly down to his home and beg him to come back. Left them hanging to that point and then decided to do them a favor and come back to play. I can almost see this team falling on their face when this is year Favre's age catches up to him.
i MIGHT believe that was possible, if he hadn't just had the best year of his entire freaking career last season. on the other hand, that did happen to rich gannon, so it's possible.
I'll believe its his last season when January 2012 rolls around and he hasn't played all season.
Maybe not even then.
Jeepers there hey Farve, ya being all prima donna and things now once and so.
Well that might very well be possible, with a 2011 Player's lockout pending.
Looking like an 80 year old man on his death bed while being carted off the field after a big hit. Honestly I am not sure I have ever seen a professional athlete look more helpless.
I don't know, he looked a lot better than Chuck Liddell.
Yeah, I'd say he's done after this season.
Yea I agree. He is finished, stick a fork in him. He would out of his mind if he thinks he can come back next season.
We say this now... but late next August?
Considering how poorly things have gone this season, I'd be pretty surprised if he came back.
After all this, I won't believe he's retired until 5 years after he's entered the Hall of Fame.
You're not going to wait until he's dead?
Hmm, you have a point. Might be wiser to wait until then to be sure.

Not a big surprise. Talent player, for sure, but a controversial one, as well.
Do they say "void after 90 days" on them?
eh... i somehow think he's done. this was a nightmare season, and he wasn't anywhere near sharp enough. and at this point... who'd want him? there aren't many teams that are quite that QB desperate i don't think. maybe the cards... but that's really about it at this point.
I thought it was pathetic how ESPN aired two(or was it three?) consecutive, very long press conferences he held after games in which he didn't even play. I mean, seriously.
Anyway, I don't think there's any chance in hell he comes back for another year.
Overall, I'm glad for the Minnesota stint since it turned most of even his most ardent apologists in Green Bay against him. And I'd love to see Rogers deliver a Super Bowl in only three years after Favre couldn't do it for his last 12 there.
In guessing whether he's really going to stay retired now , you're all overlooking a key factor -- if he's retired, where is he going to find an endless stream of attractive women to harass?
I'm sure he could find a way if he wanted to do so.
I was going to update the title of this thread... but I like the current title too much
