Adam of Nuchtern I know of it but its just one of those british tv series that can be hard for an american to get into. Thats how I have felt with some of the british comedy series like I am open to watching them but are hard for me to completely get. But I can say I did enjoy The Catherine Tate Show. I have seen the uk version of Shameless and after the first episode was done I wasn't really sure what to think about it.

Oh, yeah, those Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett were . . . stupendous. He was so perfect and the production design and everything was just dead on target.

I haven't as yet seen the final season, but I felt the first three seasons, at least, were great television.

His name is Moss and I believe you meant geometric instead of symmetrical.

Two nerdy IT specialists (Roy and Moss) in a large company get an unexpected new boss (Jenn) who knows nothing whatsoever about computers. Hilarity ensues.

(There's also a skeleton Goth in the closet server room. His name is Richmond.)

Motto of the show: "Hello, IT, have you tried turning it off and on again?"

It's a little bit like The Big Bang Theory, only with less science and more Britishness.

And let me guess one of the two guys fancies the new boss and they eventually get into a relationship in the show?

Big Bang Theory might be funnier, but it is also more clichéd and predictable

I see sorry I guess I am just used to the sort of staple that are in shows like that but I have to remember its an american staple and british shows are obviously a lot different. Like the uk Shameless for example I still don't know what to make of the first episode and its been a while since I last saw it.

If I recall, they did a few recent episodes, but not with plans to continue the show.

So it seems there will be an american remake by Fox of Broadchruch that also stars David Tennant as the main character Doctor Who star signs up for Fox's Broadchurch remake. Whats also interesting is it will be written by Chris Chibnall who did the UK version. Thoughts on a U.S. remake?

I'm sad Glenn went home on Bake-Off. He was definitely the worst baker left, but he was so much fun. I'm rooting for Kimberley or Frances now. I spend most of every episode trying to decide whether Ruby's insecurity is charming or annoying.

I'm hoping with Chibnall and Tennant attached it's a continuation of Broadchurch rather than a remake. Because honestly, I don't want Fox to ever put David to having to put on an American accent again. Love him, but he just can't pull an American accent off.

Well its a remake not a recontinuation of that series since the UK series will go into a series 2. I also heard but not sure because I read it in a article somewhere that i can't find that David Bradley who was also in Broadchurch is supposed to be the father to David Tennants character but I can't find the article I think I read that from to confirm that.

Given that it's on a Big Four network, it will probably be turned into a procedural a la Elementary. I don't mind overseas remakes per se, but this probably won't be good. Plus, has anyone heard Tennant's American accent? It's probably the worst thing I've heard this side of Dick Van Dyke in Marry Poppins.

So adorable how butthurt you guys get being second best. London's also a better global city than New York. Please have some pithy reply about World War II or something handy to respond. :p

There's a joint UK-US production that Mr44 got me into called "Strike Back". First season had Richard Armitage and the guy from Human Traffic Walking Dead, Andrew Lincoln. Subsequent season have an American playing a Brit, and an Australian playing an American. If you're wondering, the Yank sounds more British than the Aussie sounds American, but whatevs. Based partially on a book by Chris Ryan's biggest fan, Chris Ryan, it's basically paramilitary hijinx. Surprisingly engrossing.
