broadsword lessons...

... does anyone one know of anywhere in the North East that does sword lessons ??

I've always fancied learning the art of swordmanship, I know there was somewhere in Loftus (near Saltburn) that gave lessons but it closed due to lack of interest - shame I only found out afterwards

 

any use?

Hes gettin the cloak, the boots and now you want to learn swordsmanship? You ARE turning into obi-wan! but seriously, have you heard of an art called Iaido? Its the art of drawing and cutting with a japanse sword or something along those lines. I only know this because theres a club at the Uni. just a suggestion like

 

i did fencing as a teenager for a bit its a very intense sport -
plus it makes a diffrence from the kind of fencing i do now as a gardenier !

trust jace to know about defence ? Him being a defence against the dark art's teacher !

 

yes - still happy to meet next wed night and have a 'beer and a cloak night'!

I think the other half of the Spike twins, Dave and me by the sounds of it, just us 4...unless anyone else is coming? I PMd Leigh, but not sure if she is able to make it...?

 

U know i'd love to be there but next weekend will bankrupt me for this month so no can do :-(
