Darn shame... great actor, and the only man (outside of JEJ) qualified to fill Vader's shoes. Great voice and a great performance as the Dark Lord of the Sith.

I'm going to commit some possible Star Wars blasphemy and say that I always found Brock Peters' performance of the "I am your father" line in the ESB radio drama more shocking, emotional and powerful than the film version. I always got a kick out of hearing his voice and was reminded of Darth Vader whenever he would show up on Deep Space Nine as Sisko's father. He was a great actor and will be missed. Let's all give him a warm round of applause in February when we see his picture from "To Kill A Mockingbird" come up during the Academy Awards' tribute to those who have passed away in 2005.

if anything else hopefully people will seek out the star wars radio dramas, which is something no real star wars fan should miss out on, espescially if you think a new hope and empire are the best films of the saga. i will miss you brock

Like most others, I knew him most from his Star Trek appearances (Cartwright, Sisko's dad), I have heard a bit of the radio drama tho, the interrogation scene from ANH. That was pretty freaky. Sad news.

Very sad. I enjoyed his portrayal of Sisko's father. I also was most familiar with his Trek roles.

Wow, I had no idea he had been in either ST or the radio dramas. He was most famous for his performance in To Kill A Mockingbird.

    Sad to hear that. :(

He was excellent in the radio dramas and had great courage in taking on the roll that made JEJ's voice so famous. I also enjoyed him in To Kill.., and in his Star Trek movie appearances. A very regal man.

I didn't know he was the guy who played Tom Robinson, that's interesting. I do recognize him from the radio dramas though; it's a great series, and he did a good job in the role.
