Just reading the Alibi - and while we weren't mentioned as a group, they did mention the fan films that we're showing. Cool publicity I think!

I just want everyone to know ----

I hate my computer. I hate trying to burn a damn DVD. I hate having multiple types of media. Quicktime MOVs should die. Windows AVI should die. All sorts of audio and other video encoding should die.

Needless to say, I haven't been very successful in trying to burn a video-DVD for the con. I'm still working on it. Well, not right now, I *did* have to come to work. I might have to play some of them over a laptop.

Either way, it's pissing me off. I didn't go to sleep till 3:30 last night. And that sucks.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled day.

 

Dude! That sucks! Ah, the curse of technology.

I feels your pain. I refilled my color printer cartridge so I could print some of our pics for the con...every color prints except Cyan. Yeah - like that's gonna work. I gave up about midnight.

Guess if we have to just slip in the individual DVD's, it will still be ok.

 

Well, that's funny. My printer only prints cyan! Actually, it prints bands of magenta and yellow.

Black? Fugheddaboutit.

The problem with the DVDs is, I have a few from people who sent them to me (those ones you saw the other night).

The others I recorded from Atomfilms and what-not. Those are the ones I'm having problems burning.

I'll try again tonight. The only consolation is that I have until tomorrow.

Nothing like last minute crunching.

 

cons are all about time crunching. its almost an unwritten rule that costumes dont get started til a week before in the RMFF.

 

Well, as I've always said, "If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done."

Am I the only one thinking about next year?

We'll be better prepared for the Con suite. We know it's not what it's cracked up to be.

However, Star Wars Battlefront will be out. I say we sponsor some Battlefront carnage in the gaming room.

Fan Films will be bigger, better, uncut. And hopefully, without the damn technical difficulties.

We have a year to plan!

 

I am thinking of next year... Kennard said the tables go on sale in January and I already warned him we would be back with 2 tables-well kinda I will have mine next to yours where Lor & I will sell our wares, then you have your table for yourself, much better that way.

 

Yeah, I remember you and Kennard talking. We'll make sure Kennard gets our tables together so we can share the wealth. I know he's planning on working the dealer room better next time around...
