Buffalo Comicon - 9/30-10/1 - Buffalo Niagara Convention Center

Hi folks,


I finally received the request to appear at the Buffalo Comicon. The dates are Saturday September 30 amd Sunday October 1.

Saturday is 10am-7pm and Sunday is 10am-6pm. There will be a room for us to change in and store personal items.

Emil discussed with Larry, the possibility of having Jabba on site, and he offered to pay for the UHaul necessary to transport him there. He has also asked if Han in Carbonite could be there as well.

I'll be in Binghamton for RoberCon.

Who will handle details for transport of Jabba and Han? We obviously need a large footprint. Of course we need a crew to haul, assemble, and disassemble. Has this coordinator been established? I would suggest having just one coordinator, to prevent duplication of work/planning.

Just trying to cover all the bases...

 

Emily and I can be there Saturday from 10-2. I can be there on Sunday 10-2. I'd be willing to help with Jabba.

Trying something new, I have sent out a sign-up genius email with identified shifts for Buffalo Comic Con. Please let me know if you did not receive it. Be sure to check your spam mail as well.
I use this for school activities and it works very well. I thought we could try it for larger events. Feedback is welcome!

 

We have an opportunity to set up on Friday afternoon, if anyone else is available.
Much prefer this to doing everything Saturday morning and then being on all day.

Some help w load in Friday between 3-5, and breakdown in Sunday. If we do not get enough help, we will not be able to take Han. As I'm not sure Larry, Janice, and myself can manage. Setting Han up on Saturday early morning could be a potential option, but not preferable

 

We are a little short staffed at work on Friday, but I spoke with my boss and can leave early. I will be able to be at the convention center by 3-3:15.

 

Need to sign in on the site, but been busy with other stuff.

Not able to come on Friday, working until 5PM.

Saturday I am free all day depending on how well I hold up. I was planning to have large sized BB-8 with me in my Rebel Pilot.

Sunday, I'll take the train in later in the day. I can come help breakdown if I can get a ride home.

 

I can definitely help with Sunday breakdown. Unfortunately, I'm not available to help Friday.
