    From IMDB:

Defunct TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer is set to be resurrected as a cartoon. Although Sarah Michelle Gellar will not reprise her leading role in the new series, creator Joss Whedon has reportedly recruited Giselle Loren - the video-game voice of Buffy - to speak for her in the pilot. Cast members Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Stewart Head are returning to voice the animated versions of their characters.

I kinda hope it's done by the same people who do kim possible - I quite like the style of that animation.

Assuming it is true, of course (altho SMG not returning does lend it some credibility)

It's true, they tried to get it off the ground a couple years back but it fell through but now that there's no Buffyverse shows on the air everyone has more time to devote to it.
Apparantly they've made a pilot and it's being shopped around.

We can be assured it won't be set in Synnydale.

I'm ok with Buffy being over. It only feels like moneymaking to me. But that's my initial reaction to this. Let sleeping dogs lie.
Buffy was good. Seven seasons. Angel too, with its five.

Aparently it's set during the 3rd season.

    Which would be pretty cool.

I saw an episode of Angel last night MAN did he get OLD and FAT.

What is that about? for 200 years he was all like pale and broody and lithe like, and now he's tanned and chubbed?

    Bah. Stoopid television.

he's not fat he's big boned

    it's glandular

he just has a low centre of gravity

Angel (unlike Buffy) is shot in widescreen so everyone looks 'wider'

and he's been playing a character that doesn't age for 8 years now.

oh well, stuff like that you just have to look past. Like the 'universal translator' in Star Trek or the hundreds of mistakes in the Back to the Future movies.

Any one else bothered by the whole Vampires destroying the world thing (season 2/3-ish). What are they going to eat?

Not completely what we were talking about but it's been bugging me.

It bothered Spike too, that's why he helped Buffy defeat Angel.

"People walking around like little happy meals on legs" classic.
