I indulged in some sado-masochism last night. I helped out at the Brisbane media/industry preview for RotS last night, and after the "special guests" went in, I and some associates had to change out of costumes. The area provided for costume change was under the seating of the cinema provided for the film. I could hear everything, and was able to catch a few glimpses of the opening action scene.

It was TORTURE! TORTURE, I tell you. The sickest thing about the whole ordeal was that 9 out 10 people in that session had no idea who Darth Sidious and Count Dooku were. Two people in the entire crowd recognised the Emperor's Royal Guard. The only good thing about the night was that I got a photo of the Dark Lord and his two apprentices - Peter Beattie, Darth Vader and Darth Sidious.

 

I've got two more tickets than I need as I was given additional ones for my birthday

 

oh bummer, they wouldn even let you watch it from really bad seats or standing in the back or something?

Got an email from a friend of mine who's now living in San Fran Sisco.

She said she got asked out on a date last night to go to a film premiere with a guy she knows who "does computer graphics for films" for a living.

She decided to let me know because it turned out to be the cast & Crew premiere for RotS.

I'm not jealous, much...

It always seems to be the way things like this happen. Dedicated "true" fans miss out on access to events like this, and people who have no idea who Darth Vader get to waltz in and see a film they won't care about tomorrow. Go figure...

WoW! Got the film clip, a 30 second sabrefight scene and all 9 ads last night. Have to say, I wasn't excited until then. Bought the Mrs a Darth Tater and that plush Vader thing that talks and she's taking it to the midnight screening.... she's still only seen Clones.
