i was gonna make my own, but i cant wait for this, is this an official product by hasbor and will it be in stores?

How much is it going to cost?

 

According to EntertainmentEarth.com, around $55, not bad if it is supposedly like the $20 sabers.

 

What you need to keep in mind is that Entertainment earth has a problem with over charging...MSRP is probably going to be closer to $40. as far as i know this isn't going to make any noise, and that is what you pay for with the 20 dollar sabers.

The scoop on this saber kit is that there will be supplemental kits available to add on to the saber and there is also word that a coupler will be made available so you can make a double blade lightsaber to customize

I think Master-Christmas said it all.

 

A couple years ago, this set would've had me drooling!
But then I discovered the Fury by Parks Sabers...
and no other saber can even begin to compare in my mind!
3 guesses what saber I'll be buying in the coming year! And the first 2 don't count!

Okay, let me point out what I noticed in that photo that apparently some people missed...
in the upper right "quadrant" of the tray, you'll see what appear to be 3 imitation crystals, one red, one green, and one blue. Just beneath those, you should see a clear telescoping saber blade! Why clear?
Simple....
if you look in the upper LEFT corner of the tray, you'll see the flashlight bulb & reflector assembly for the saber. And just to the left of it...
3 discs...
3 COLORED discs....
one red, one blue, one green....
these are placed OVER the bulb to make the saber blade whatever color you choose!

 

This kit looks pretty good imo, I'm sure I'll pick it up. However, it would definitely be even better if supplemental kits do indeed come out as well.

 

Yeah, supplemental kits sre needed, this isn't a "Build your own lightsaber kit" it's a "Build your own lightsaber from bit's of other people's lightsabers kit"

 

Bad news guys, looks like it has been cancelled due to "lack of interest". I sure was interested.
