Here you go Ray, this is an article about those Burger King toys me and Travis were talking about at the meeting last night.

    Burger King Promotion Bumped Up

Posted By Dustin on May 8, 2005
Word on the street is Burger King will be launching the Star Wars promotion 5 days earlier than previously expected. Now scheduled to start May 11th, with advertising kicking in the night before during American Idol.

There will be six different case assortments of toys and each case will include 39 of 5 characters (39 x 5 = 195 toys) plus just 5 Darth Vader Toys = 200 per case. Five Characters in each case x 6 cases = 30 collectible toys plus the "Special" limited edition Darth Vader makes a possible collection of 31 toys.

Me too. I gladly would have traded my Jersey Mike's sub for a BK meal with Star Wars goodies.

So how does it work? Do all those toys come with a kids' meal or can you get them separately?

According to Cass (who worked at a BK in Indiana), you can buy the toys seperately for about .60 each

If you buy a Value meal, you can get 2 for $1.29, you can get one with a kids meal, and you can buy them individually. The store employees may not realize it, but anyone who thinks this wasnt at least SOMEWHAT slightly aimed at collectors would have to be crazy. How else could you explain them only putting one Vader in every case? :)

If anybody winds up with extra's that they want to get rid of, I might be interested...especially the Yoda wind-up.

Well this sucks. The BK down the street is only putting them in the kids meals. None w/the value meals nor will they sell them individually. [face_frustrated] Anyway, got a Han in carbonite with my kids meal. Maybe hit the one across town tommorow.

Plus, found the next wave of regular figures! (Neimoidian Warrior, etc.) and some GI Joe stuff!

Get use to that kind of stuff, Hybrid. We are one of the most picked-on fanbases in pop culture history.

What's not to like? You've got hot women and hot action. There are car chases, explosions, swordfights, gunfights, killer robots, and two armies trying to bust futuristic caps in each other's collective asses. Again, what's not to like? Granted, there could be some gratuitous nudity thrown in for good measure, but it's not really needed. After all, we've go the internet for that.
