Qui-Gon's response-"But not at the expense of the present, you must clear your mind" or something to that degree. I just realized this was a mirror of when Yoda is telling Ben in ESB that Luke's All his life looked away to the horizion to the future, never his mind where he was, what he was doing. Also that a Jedi craving the adventure isnt the right reason for becoming one, this was a problem for Anakin most of AOTC through most of ROTS.


Also In ESB Han tells Leia they dont have time to;"discuss this by commitee" just as her mother says that she will sit and watch her people suffer while it is discussed by commitee.

Thanks i was thinking the same thing about Yoda's rethinking. It is funny that you have to point out the no sarcasim note in thses threads, with the frequency of it.

another more obvious mirror was Luke wanting to stop his training to save his friends from dying..In a vision no less. Like father like son.


Yoda is telling Luke he must finish his training. Luke says but Leia and Han will die if I dont. Obi-Wan responds that the future isnt certain and that you can NOT control it by the force. Even Yoda cannot forsee it. Obi-Wan then proceeds to say it is a dangerous time. That the Emperor wants his ability...THAT IS WHY YOUR FRIENDS ARE MADE TO SUFFER. Obi-Wan then says he doesnt want to lose Luke..THE SAME WAY HE LOST HIS FATHER. Yoda then says if he chooses the quick and easy path..like his father.

TESB - ROTS - both Mace Windu VS Chancellor (or should I say Emperor?) and Darth Vader VS Luke using the Force to tear apart a massive window that would suck anyone with it due to the powerful winds of course...

 

The endings for Ep1 and Ep4 are simmilar as are the endings for Ep2 and Ep5. 1 and 4 end with the heroes on a platform after receiving an award and being celebrated. in 2 you have Padme/Anakin looking out over the lake with the droids to the right of the screen. In 5 you have Luke and Leia looking out over space while the droids are at the right of the screen.
