    Recently my lil bro was watching the Buzz lightyear show. A villian guy that was taking over planets and stuff reely reminded me of Yuuzhan Vong. He was based on a mummy, had a 'staff' (amphistaff ) that shot discs that came around back at you (thud bugs) and something that really gave it away was when he said 'infidel planet.' Comments on the writers' creativity? :p

    KK: Nope, sorry. It didn't happen. You're infinities and any attempt to call yourself anything is superceded by your non-canon status.

    Oh, fine on-topic...

    Considering the SW references in Toy Story 2 (or so I've heard), I don't think it would be that much of a stretch to have someone make references in a show, either. Maybe the people in-charge of it are big SW fans. *shrugs*

    I'm canon [face_mischief] but I'm also thinking I shouldn't continue this conversation so...

    I think it's very possible that the show may have used ideas from SW....I did a project on Africa in school and I noticed that some citie's and countrie's names were similar to SW character's names...although it could be a coincidence...

    The other way around. ;) Example: Lucas filmed in a place called Tatouine (sp?) and we ended up with Tatooine.

    Lucas used a lot of Earthly names in the GFFA.
