Is the x-wing in that picture THE x-wing?

No idea. The one we have is 75% scale, right? I think the one in this pic is 100% scale. The site I got that from has a few different shots of the hangar...so one of them might actually be it.

    What do you think?

Jeff wanted to do that as well, I think he thinks he would be the only one with one :p He also wants to do the things on the shoulder that's why I wanted to know if they had a pocket. He wanted to do them out of aluminum, but we saw some detailed pictures & it's way to much to do before this event, so it will have to be an upgrade for Mile-Hi? So I think sculpty or wood is what we will use :D

Somewhere I had or saw a tutorial for making data rods out of hardware, washers & bolts sorta stuff. Not real accurate looking but not too bad from a short distance. I'll see if I can find it again.

most of the ppl on the legion that have the forearm in the pic dont have the wrist thing. so I think if we can pull it off we should. make ours better.

    Whichever works. :D

As for the shoulder things, if the flightsuits are the same design of the black ones I have, they've only got 2 pockets -- we'd need to sew on a 3rd when we upgrade them. But if we finish the majority of the work by Tuesday, and he's feeling a little insane, he can try making some. :D

I'm working on the grey dangly bobber harness thing right now. Unspooled all the webbing, and I should have enough for 13-16 pilots, depending on size. I've already got how it goes together figured out, and it'll only take a few minutes sewing for each one. I can make Rachel's, Jennay's, and mine tonight.

Since the harnesses are meant to be uber loopy baggy, I can probably make EVERYONE'S tonight, just by figuring in how tall everyone is (only issue is the strip connecting both legs together -- needs to be big enough to allow unrestricted walking). I can leave enough on the main strap that connects it to the vest for adjustment.

    Ummm...

    BELT BUCKLES???

Well, they take longer than a *few* minutes. LOL. I've got a system down, though. I can probably have 5 done tonight.

It's the 38mm webbing. I've read complaints about some of the harnesses out there not having enough webbing between the legs and not being able to walk...so I added some extra in. Looks like a tight fit, but that's the bagginess of the flightsuit -- I put on the wrong one. [face_blush]

LOL. I think my head has an ache right now...must...find...Advil...

We still need belt buckles, or slider things, or something.

    http://www.501st.be/Props/Kostuums/X-Wing_Pilot/X-Wing_pilot.htm

The 4th picture has what I'd like to shoot for. The "authentic" buckle things are like $7/each and are custom made since they're not made anymore. They need to fit a 1-1/2" strap. I'll make a quick run to the surplus store during lunch to see if they have any. I think I saw a few in the bin where I dug out the smaller buckles from, but I was a little too focused yesterday and didn't actually see a whole lot. LOL.

If they don't have them, we'll need at least 1 for each person...preferably 2.

Did Josh tell you 2.5? His previous post indicated:

"They need to fit a 1-1/2" strap."

Just trying to clarify, in case I get the chance to look for some this afternoon.

I don't have time to read all this, but you guys ROCK.

I will also be going to a baseball game tonight, so I may not be able to post anything until after the holiday. I will see people on Saturday.

I can maybe knock out 10 compads out of resin. I'll start creating the master from sculpy asap.
