    Yep. Several TV commercials describe it as the place "where history lives." An apt description. We saw the YORKTOWN, the CLAMAGORE, Fort Sumter, and a few other places as well during our trip, but not the destroyer (the LAFFEY?).

    I've not seen the TNT movie. I need to do so sometime.

    Yeah the movie....wasn't very good in my opinion. I had some good actors in it like Armand Assante and Donald Sutherland, but they were horribly miscast in their roles. For the most part though, I enjoyed the Turner historical movies. When Ted Turner was heavily involved back in the day, he was always having historical movies made for TNT, which I thought was really cool. Andersonville was one of the better ones I thought, and I still like to watch Gettysburg each July for the anniversary of the battle.
