Oh...I was under the impression it wasn't FF and 501st only. I dunno why, just something someone said in the other thread. I've never been to any fan force meetings...this means I can't go?

Read the title of the thread:

    "All Welcome to attend"

    :p

The party is hosted by us (IK & Bloodfin), it's a little pub for the larger organizations in general, but anyone and everyone who wants to buy a ticket can come. Hopefully the only restriction is that people are SW fans who are at C3.

If you're not a member of any particular group, you would fall into the "FanForce" category for registration. I'll verify this with the Ron & Jay before editing the original post.

What about using one PayPal account to pay for several people?
Some people in my FF chapter has asked me to pay for them, because they don't have PayPal accounts.

BTW, half of them are also members of the Rebel Legion.

YEEE HAAAA!!! Finally Tickets went on sale! I got mine!! This party is going to rock!!! I still have one question... is this a casual affair, or can we dress up in our costumes? Just wondering. Maybe sweating for several hours in the ICC, then going to the party in costume may not work, eh? Never mind!

    See you guys there!!

There will also be three beer troughs throughout the ballroom.

This is the bit I'm intrigued about, because the picture in my head of what a beer trough is just can't be right. :p

There was a valid question earlier. What about paying for multiple people with one Payapl transaction?

If I do this, I would be paying for myself and fiancee.

So, how will you deal with that or in the case above, groups of people?

Especailly if said groups don't all show up at the same time, which is VERY possible.

Example: Fanforce Pittsburgh-a member purchases 6 passes. Four of those six show up right away, the other two will be coming later (say 8pm for instance). Since the reciept has already been shown for the 4, how will you keep track of the other two? It should not fall upon the attendees to have to be there at the same time.

One possibility is in the notes section (when sending a Paypal payment, to state whom exactly the extra passes are being paid for. Screen name and real name. Then you can keep a list based on that. the person would then need to show some form of official ID (ie State ID or Driver's license)

    Cool?

I wasn't ignorning the question, but since I'm not actually the person collecting the money, I was hoping Ron or Jay would jump in.

Basically, the PayPal reciept is the ticket, but the other part of that is the checklist at the door...so, sure, a person can buy tickets for multiple people, but you'd need to send in a list of all the required info listed above for each person, then you would just need to print off multiple copies of the reciept for each person's entry, and then when they arrive, they would all need to check in the line for the group you signed up with....their name is scratched off the list and they are given a wristband. If someone else tries to use a copy of that reciept and the same name, then they will be denied entry.

I don't recall if ID was required or not, but it would probably be a good idea to have some anyway, esepcially if you plan on drinking. You have to be 21 years old to drink alcohol in Indiana, and if you don't have a valid photo ID, you won't be served, and I imagine if you don't look 54, you'll be carded.

What does it mean that registration begins at Jan 1 or Jan 14 ?
There is nothing stopping me from paying right now. :p
What will happen if I do?

Shouldn't there also be set dates for when pre-purchase of tickets closes ?

What about using one PayPal account to pay for several people?

You can do this BUT here is what has to happen. The person who pays with the Paypal recipt needs to list all the names (real names not board names) in the notes section of the PayPal transaction. That person will need to make a photocopy of the Paypal receipt and give to each of the persons he/she has paid for. We will be checking IDs against the list of paid individuals.

Upon check in you will be given a numbered wristband and that number will be recorded against your name on the list for the party.

The registration dates are a courtesy to those collecting and organizing the money...I guess you could pay now and everything would be fine, or the complete opposite could happen where your money is refunded back....or maybe the money wouldn't be refunded and you'd get a thank you email for your $20 donation to the Katie Fund. I would just wait. :p

I also know that Ron & Jay are working with the higher ups with the 501st and probably Rebel Legion too, so there might be some cross-checking of membership lists there.

There is no end date for registration, tickets will be sold until they sell out. Actually, I think 8pm the night of the party is when any tickets unsold will be cut off, but don't quote me on that, just yet.

    Edit:
OR what Ron said. Also, the FanForce date would include anyone and everyone else not associated with any particular group.
