c3po & r2d2 in 2 places at once in chapter 1

When Anakin gets into his starfighter, he throws his robes off and they land on c3pO right? And r2d2 is standing next to him. Then Anakin flies up to where Padme is watching from her window, and the same droids are there with her. Surely it can't be two other droids that look the same.

 

There's a jump in time between the cut from when Anakin's cloak hits 3PO and when his fighter lifts off the pad- you'll note that the guy with the hand-held guidance lights isn't on the landing platform when the cloak hits 3PO, but is there in the next shot.

Additionally, Anakin is standing in front of his fighter when 3Po gets hit by the cloak, but is in the cockpit and lifting off when we next see him.

So, after the cloak hits 3PO, the two droids left the landing pad and went up to Padme's apartment as the technician moves onto the landing pad and Anakin entered the cockpit and prepped the fighter for launch. THEN we resume where the cartoon is, with Anakin's fighter taking off towards the apartment, where we see the droids have arrived to.

 

Uh.....It's called an ELEVATOR. DUH!

 

Also, when we see Threepio and Artoo up at the apartment, Threepio is still holding Anakin's cloak.

Don't really think there was any need to be that harsh.
Especially as it had already been explained by then.

i noticed that too, but never really put too much thought into it. oh well...

 

There's probably a bit of time inbetween the time that he takes off and the time that he left the droids. The Starfighter is right at the base of the same building, so it's not like they had to go far.

 

and we give them time when we see anikin look at padme they are not there, that is the time they go up
