If someone heard Palpatine say "I love marshmellows" in ROTJ

    Hmmmm...

"I love marshmallows... I love the Republic."

    Rick McCallum loves you!

I misheard a lot of Star Wars lines when I was younger:

    Owen = Olwed
    Anoat = Nowet
Much anger in him = Watch and crick him
Stopped they must be = Still I love sleep

I too thought that they were called Lifesvers when I was very young. And up until last year, I thought this was the conversation in ESB:

    Leia: Where are we?

    Han: The Nowhere System.

Leia: The Nowhere Sysem, there's not much there.

I thought they were being sarcastic!

It seems that in the GFFA God doesn't exist.

In ESB, Han says, "I'll see you in Hell." Take that for whatever it means.

I think what people are forgettiting is that for how much we love SW, they're still just movies written by a human who lives on Earth and speaks English.

"I thought he said "my goodness" or something like that."

That's what I always thought. "Oh my goodness." Oh well, that's just what my ears heard.

Well, Yoda was getting on in years, not as energetic as he used to be...I'll bet he did love sleep. :D

    [face_laugh] LMAO!

For years I used to think it was, "Concentrate all your power on that Super Cell Destroyer!"

My brother and I figured out that it must destroy living things (with cells) as opposed to planets or solar bodies (like stars).

Okay, just watched the scene in question...it DOES sound like "Thank God", but there's a lot of Ewok hooting and hollering over the second word. Also, there seems to be a weird pause in the middle, like "Thank <pause> God". So make of that what you will.

Also, I'm watching the SE, so you might be able to hear it differently in other sound mixes.

always in motion the future is= All this emotion the future brings

    :)

Also very funny when the Ewoks seem to be speaking english:

    Ewok1: That guy's smart!
    Ewok2: Boy you said it!

This is right when 3PO first start talking Ewok.

If he sad "Thank God" (which he in my opinion does not). So what. It is not the God that some people believe in on earth, it is a god, like the one the Ewoks think Threepio are.

Was that understandable or did it just sound like ranting?

    Hansen...

Okay, I don't know who said that God doesn't exist in the Star Wars universe, but come on! What makes you say that at all?

Does it matter if he says Thank God or not?

Isn't it logical to think that if the SW universe is set in our universe, just a different galaxy then there has to be God? God's everywhere!

PS: This better NOT start a debate about whether it is right to mention God or not. I am sooooo sick of that!

There's no god, the only one who comes close to one is Luke. The ewoks think he is god.

    C3PO:eek:h, thank myself.

Wow. After checking it, he does seem to say something to the effect of "Thank God", though you'd have to have the audio cranked and your ear pressed against the left speaker to even notice he said something.

    Turn it down.

I head "thank goodness", and I'm pretty sure about that.

However, in ANH, Luke says: "Oh, God, my uncle. How am I ever going to explain
this?", When he is at Obi-Wan's house.
Hope I haven't opened up a new can of worms here...
