C3POs Memory Wipe, and the Secret of R2D2

    R2 and C3PO were close friends for a long time and closest during ROTS and the onward Eras. in the droids cartoons and comics, C3PO doesn´t remember his prequel adventures because of the memory wipe in Episode 3. But R2D2, after another wipe and reprogramming makes C3PO lead a droid rebellion, restores his memory back to normal, keeping backups of C3POs memory inside his astromech hull. (based information from the Droids cartoon, droids comics and Visual Dictionary)

    So... is it possible that R2 keeps also C3POs pre-ROTS memory wipe memory and could restore it if he wanted to? DISCUSS...

    IIRC, isn't there a source that suggests the reason 3po shuts down in kenobi's hut is because of the memories it may trigger, and the conclusions he may reach?

    dont ask me to PPOR, cos i dunno where i saw it except it was on this forum :p

    true, this is from the rewritten young adult novels for the old trilogy by rhyder windham, ANH.

    so maybe R2 has C3POs access codes and made him shut off.
