Okay - it seems you'll be able to pick up a 'detailed' program at the convention. These are general ones - but nothing yet for panels and such.

Okay - booked our shuttle service from the airport to the Sheraton for Wednesday. When I say 'We' I mean:

We have a private van, seats a max of 7. Unfortunately, they charge a gratuity tax on top of the cost and it's 18%. Crazy, I know. So the total cost of the van will be $79.06 US. Split 7 ways that's, $11.30 per person (still cheaper than the group rate thru GenCon). So, if you're coming to the BBQ on Sunday at Jay and Nicole's place, please bring your cash. I'll take the US or CDN equivalent

So you want to race the Kessel Run?

Smugglers and spacers from all parts of the galaxy gather occasionally to test their wits and piloting skills by trying to complete the Kessel Run in the shortest amount of time and/or distance. Here are some tips for those intrepid enough to try their luck at the Kessel Run at Celebration IV:

- Bring a pen or pencil. Unless you have a droid that can do all your memory recording and computations, you'll probably need to write things down as you solve puzzles. Make sure you have at least one functioning writing implement.

- Don't be afraid to ask for help. Even a seasoned smuggler knows when the odds are against him and calls in a few favors. Racers can use their comlinks (cell phones) to call up smuggling buddies back in their home systems to help them find information. Or feel free to talk to the myriad of scum and villainy of fans around the convention center. Chances are, you'll find the answer if you ask around, or look something up.

- Dress comfortably. Han Solo and Chewbacca have some smarts in their fashion sense. Might be handy to bring a pouch to carry around stuff. Definitely would be smart to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for wandering around spaceports. Feel free to wear costumes, so long as they won't slow you down. Quick-draw holsters optional.

- Watch out for double-crossers. Sure, you can talk to other teams, but remember, they're in it to win - so know who you can trust, and who you can't. Remember that if you follow someone, they're still ahead of you - and they're deciding where to go, not you.

- Keep the local systems in line. Not only does your team need to visit each of the checkpoints of the galaxy, you need to visit them in order! If you stumble across a smuggling base in your travels - be sure it's the one that you're supposed to go to! The Hutts want smugglers who are smart enough to go where they're led, and will disqualify teams that visit systems out of order.

Good luck to all the Kessel Run racers - you're gonna need it.

Anyone take a look at the article on TF.N's main page, regarding some feud between Prowse and Lucas? The interesting thing about the article is that it says that Prowse is hoping for a reconciliation with Lucas since they'll both be at C4.


Did I miss an announcement? Will George REALLY be there???
