David Hume serving as the Father of All Mankind would make the world an interesting place.

This thread fell to the second page, but I redeemed it. Thank me later, first there are questions. Questions that need answering.

Cad Bane has a flamethrower in his wrist. Yet in the EU only the Fetts have those and he ain't a Fett. So how do the EU get out of this one

Edit: Red Two makes me look like a fool, redeeming threads that already like kittens and puppies.

It fell to the second page? That's, like, bad, really bad. I mean, people who do not know might never learn that Cad Bane's Duros.

So, Cad has those spiffy breathing tubes. Yet, when he takes them off, his cheeks seem to be unmarred by their usage. Now, I've seen some guy with discs in his cheeks, and when he removes those discs, there are obvious holes in his face. Guy scarred himself for life to look like a fish. But, I digress...

Why doesn't Cad Bane have holes in his cheeks from his breathing tubes? Or, do Duros have self-sealing cheeks?

Must be a Bane thing to have non-functional breathing gear. Dark Knight Rises has Bane wearing a respirator mast that doesn't connect to anything.

Those breathing tubes are clearly just for the cool looks... and to confuse his enemies. How many of his victims struggling in his grasp thought they could break free by slicing one of his breathing tubes, expecting him to start coughing and flailing, only to have him laugh down their necks saying the dreaded word... "Ornament."

I thought I read somewhere before that Cad Bane used those breathing tubes to resist Force Chokes or something along those lines?

I recall that being mentioned in the Art of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, again, you look at his cheeks when he removes the gear and they are unmarred. Granted, this is simply because of ease of rendering, but it wouldn't take much to add scar tissue to a texture map.

Judging by this thread, and its subsequent invasion of others, I'd have to say yes.

It's the fault of The Loyal Imperial ... unless his repetition of Sinre was unintentional.

Then it's the fault of... uh... OH, HEY, look over there!

    With the OP. Obviously.

Or, if we want to go all the way back, Cad Bane's first appearance, many it's potential EU contradictions.

We need to look at the question from another angle:

The EU does it contradict Cad Bane
