"I like ... big ships and I cannot lie..." :D

Mind you, the Nebulon B is about the only ship with an "itty-bitty waist".

No. "Imperial Star Destroyer" yes, but "Imperial-class" no.

Best songs titled after stuff from Star Wars... Go.

Also, the reason I can never remember the proper spelling of "Dianoga":

EDIT: And how could I have forgotten this?

I was so excited about Season 2 of Arrow being on Netflix today.

Only apparently they decided to not put it on there today even though that's when it was scheduled to be put on, and they did so without telling anybody. :( [face_sigh]

I saw a bunch of complaints about that today online. It was a very good season, worth the wait. Can't wait for it start up again, and have Flash Tuesdays and Arrow Wednesdays starting next month.

Oh, I'm sure it is–I'm just annoyed that I have to wait longer than I was supposed to. I at least expect Netflix to come clean and say "Yeah we goofed, it'll be added so-and-so date" or something. I want to know when I can expect to see the thing on Netflix. ASAP.

But hey, first world problems. :p

Also, I'm super-excited for Flash. It's just too bad I'll have to wait an entire year from now to even see it, because I only have Netflix, no cable or satellite. Which makes me realize that by the time I'm starting to watch Flash, it may occupy me just long enough to keep my attention before Episode VII comes out so I'm not agonizing over the wait for that.

That's almost the color of Neimoidian skin. Why Neimoidian and not Duros? Are they deliberately contradicting the EU?

Clearly they're mocking Jedinet and not the TFN JC. That caricature could not possibly describe anybody here... right?

Actually, does Jedinet even still exist?

A question I pose to anyone:

Blade of Tyshalle or Gardens of the Moon

So, the British accents in AC: Unity aren't placeholders, they're an "artistic decision". Apparently, all of the NPC dialogue and other bits that aren't relevant to plots or quests are going to be in French, but everything the player needs to understand will be in "Hollywood English".

    Found this old SWTOR trailer...

And I thought it was pretty generic, but funny. Had to note a few things:

    * I love how the guy at 0:43 was totally in the middle of breakfast...for two?
    * Homeless bounty hunter at 0:48 creeping on the teenage Jedi... o_O
    * The guy with the assault cannon who threw his jacket aside leading the charge? Yeah, he's totally a grade school teacher. [face_laugh]
    * Some of the Jedi look meaner than their Sith counterparts!

Blade of Tyshalle. It is the best thing. It's the deepest of the Caine books. It's unremittingly brutal for a long time and then just turns it around and is unremittingly awesome.

DM - why choose at all? Pick one then read the other.

Definitely read GotM but bear in mind the caveat that it isn't necessarily that representative of the Malazan books, many feel DeadHouse Gates is far better in this respect. For myself, what I like about the Malaz books is the soaring ambition Erikson demonstrates in them and throws you into this world without any of the traditional tools. No map, no handy history, you just get snippets here and there. I find it continually eludes my grasp completely but that also draws me back.

Oh yeah: 2 other reasons to read GotM: Anomander Rake plus Shadowthrone and Dancer.

EDIT: From what Hav's posted, it sounds like BoT is more of a complete tale in itself, GotM really isn't - it's book 1 of 10! And there's far more to the Malaz books than just the 10-part Malazan Book of the Fallen. So, I'm inclined to say to read BoT than begin your exploration of the Malazan leviathan.

Funnily enough, I just reread BoT like last month. It was better than I remembered -- the brutality and the gruesomeness tended to overawe everything else in my memory.

Sigh. I never had a problem with the English -- AC4 did that, with the NPCs speaking English or accented English and the NPCs speaking Spanish (and occasionally Portugeuse) when relevant. But having extremely English accents with the English is just jarring. I hate the obvious, heavy "oui oui je suis foreign" accents but just having some natural French speakers do English in a normal voice would've been nice.

I'm picking which to read first.
