Call of Duty 2: Big Red One

Anyone thinking of getting it? For you that don't know CoD2 BRO is about The first infantry division as they take their tours through France, Africa, Italy.

I don't think I will because if you look at this CoD2 pic or, this CoD2 pic compared to CoD2:BRO pic or if you must this CoD2:BRO pic.

I think I'll just rent it. Finest Hour looked better. Oh and note that those coD2 pics are Xbox360 and are notprerendered.

 

Big Red One? First time I've heard of that. My guess is this is what you're talking about, which is conveniently located two threads down on the first page.

BTW, COD2 does indeed look awesome. I'll probably get the PC version, though.

 

No buddy, I'm not, it's actually conviniently located right here.Actaully Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty Big Red One are two entirely different games. BRO is current Gen consoles only and CoD 2 is Xbox360 and PC. BRO comes out on Nov.1 while CoD 2 comes out Nov.22 wtih the 360 and with the almighty words of God: own.

 

..i'll probably wind up picking this one up simply because i like to have some type of WWII game to play around November 11..

I wasn't a HUGE fan of "Finest Hour", but it was a good play up until the point that it became impossible (it was tough during the American mission where you had to escort the tanks, but it became impossible once you hopped into the sewers).

Don't mean to rain on everboy's parade, but this title might not see the light of day. Spark Ineractive has sued Activision, and if they win, then the plug will probably be pulled on COD2:BRO

The current bit i hear is that Activision is counter-sueing, and word is they have the stronger case.

At any rate, every place i check has the release date set as November 1st, 2005.

If there were ANY doubt, all gaming websites would remove that date.

No that got the voices from Brothers in Arms and Mark Hammil (Who oddly enough played in the Big Red One movie)

 

Is there a character in CoD 2 named Griff? Big Red One is my favorite Hamill movie and probably my favorite WW2 movie.


I saw this on the 360 yesterday and I thought it looked pretty sweet. I'll probably pick her up for the PS2 though.

 

I don't think it's based directly off the BRO movie, though I know it has the same battles, like the battle of Casarine(spelling?) pass. My Xbox360 is going to replace my Xbox as my pride and joy, I doubt I'll pick this one up unless it gets some moderately good scores and if I rent it, obviously, if it's good.

 

I love WWII games and plan on buying this one.

 

I like war games in general.

 

Yeah I figured it'd go through the same battles as the movie considering both are based on the 1ID during the war.

Gone ahead and unlocked this thread as it came to my attention that this is a different game than CoD 2.

 

Thanks Errant. This game comes out the first of novemeber just to let people know and there is $59.99 special edition version, but that's the same amount as CoD2 so I'll just pass on that and look for it at EB on a later date.

 

Anyone bought this game? I rented it, but am looking for someone with access to the directions.

How is this game? I'm a big fan of ww2 shooters and was thinking of getting it.

its feels more like the medal of honor series rather the call of duty.

 

I got the blockbuster game pass, so I snagged it a few days ago...I'm diggin it! Still learning, but it is efintely worht renting atleast! I just wish you could get the instruction booklet when you rent it!

 

I've been playing it for a few weeks. Cool game! The graphic are amazing. I like using the different vehicles like the tanks, etc.
