CALLING ALL BANNER MAKERS!! - LOGOS IN FIRST POST!! Please Create Us A New Banner!!!

All I can see on my computer at work are the following:

Imperial Laural
Imperial Knights
Thrawn Fan Club

I am working with a standard 1024x768 monitor.

Once I get home this evening I will tweek the colors again on this style sheet and will look at the banner with my widescreen laptop.

 

It's probably your screen resolution. I only see 3 as well. Normally about half of the 'back' image is cut off for me on these banners.

For the stylesheet makers - if you are going to tweak things can you please make sure any hex color values have the '#' present and right next to the value - i.e #ffffff and not ffffff or # ffffff. The boards don't like the latter two and it kills the whole stylesheet. I had to correct a bunch to get these working. Thanks!

CPL - Let me know when you get a chance to see the Pilot one and then I'll put the Jedi one up for you to look at too. I should be home tonight so if you want to PM me I can switch banners so you can look at them and know what you need to fix.

 

I have looked at the Pilot one and it not to bad.

Throw up the Jedi Banner when you get a Chance.

 

Jedi Banner is up (hit F5 a few times if you can't see it). I think something is wrong here though...

 

Just a few minor tweeks for this one as well.

The green and blue do not go together at all. I think I know what you were trying to do, but it would look nicer if the green was a blue color as well.

 

That is exactly what I was going to do. I was going to pull the color from the Jedi Order emblem that is the AD holder right now.

I orginially was going for the cross blades in the NJO/LotF match, but it didn't work.

Oh well like Han at the Bunker door controls, I guess I need to get back to crossing a few more wires.

 

Are the colors in the forum header of the jedi banner what you wanted? The reason I ask is that they are just about the same ones I see when a stylesheet goes wonky. (The banner style then picks up the board system defaults). I thought this one was broken but after fixing all the hex colors it still looked off. It was driving me nuts!

 

Yes it is the light blue that is in the banner.

 

I like the changes made to the Sith banner.

 

What about the Jedi Banner? Do I need to adjust that one again?

Yes I saw it while I was at work.

 

I'm ok with it. The color is still a little goofy (greenish instead of completely blue) and it isn't as sharp as the Sith one is. So if you think you can tweek it a little more you can.

Usernames are a little hard to read, but other banners have that on them too so that isn't a huge deal. I am so excited that you've learned how to do this, btw. I can't read that code to save my life.

 

It took me a while to figure it out, I had been looking to make some banners in the past so I studied the tutorials. However I did not have PhotoShop or Gimp until recently. I will keep tinkering with the sheets on my end when their time is up in the rotation.

diggin it! too bad none of the banners seem to be able to feature more than three logos, though. I think that's more a problem with them than the style sheets, though.

Only if you don't know how to do a stylesheet. I am willing to teach others how to do it or you can send me you banner images so I can match up colors as best as I can.

 

Trust me, I know. I've done either two or three so far. I don't remember. But it's nice to know who to contact.
