    Greetings.

I am currently undertaking a bit of research before i go on a teacher training course at uni, and was after a bit of help.

if anyone out there is aged 14-16 and taking GCSE English, i would love to hear your impressions on one or more of the fiction texts you are studying.

just post the name of the book, the author(s) and your impressions of it - were you engaged by it, if so why? did it suck? was the quality of the teaching a factor in your impression? did you get the chance to look at it in ways that went beyond the text - film, drama etc - doid this help or detract from your learning?

on a personal note, i will be campaigning for the inclusion of Matt Stover's ROTS on the syllabus, but wont get very far i am sure.

anyways, cheers for the help in advance guys,

    The Beard.

My school did Lord of the Flies with us, I really enjoyed it. Most of the people in my class didn't like it to start with but it's one of them things you really get into. Great book, would read it again.
