Calling all Tolkien fans, young and old - Young at heart even.

    Have a look

Some people has expressed an interest in going. As well in costume.

If you intend to go in costume, could you post here, which charactor you'll be going as.
To see if we can form our own little FanForceFellowship.

If I can go, I'll be just an elven maiden. I'll have to fit making my own costume around all the other costumes I'll be making this year.

Hopefully my hair will be longer by then.

I'm going to do *something* maybe one of Eowyn's simpler costumes or an Elf?

Eryn will go as Arwyn, she's got the ears down perfectly! Hopefully she will be in the white Romancing dress from FOTR (the one where she gives Aragorn her necklace).

I will be Eowyn in her Shieldmaiden outfit (I pick up the sword on Sunday!) :D

If you are considering making a LOTR costume, here is the best place to look

Has anyone figured out how much the tickets are for the 3 days? I see a lot about hotel room prices, but not the ticket prices.

    I don't think so...

Each Early-Bird reservation costs $50 (US funds). This will entitle the bearer to priority purchasing of Full Tickets, once they go on sale.

It sounds like the $50 will buy you a place in line, to buy the tickets... ?[face_plain] Does that sound right?

Looks just like the Noble Collection one eh.

PM me if you want to know where and how much these are...I think I may be getting one.

Its nickel instead of sterling silver, but its a dead ringer.

I've changed my mind and Decided to make this costume here...

    [image=http://www.antville.org/img/Namida/Eowyn.jpg]

I love that dress, and I figure if I grow my hair for....the next several years I may just get it that long ;)

I am *very* grateful that I still have a few months in which to make this costume, I'm going to need them! :D

A quote from the official message board:

Yes. WE have hesitated to call them "tickets" because we did not have certain contracts signed. We call them Early-Bird reservations as a preliminary name, but the reservation is really a ticket. There is nothing else to pay to get into the convention. As posted before, there will be another optional event at Medieval Times on Tuesday night, with a separate ticket to purchase(not on sale yet).

The $50.00 fee you pay for an Early-Bird Reservation(later to be call tickets) allows you access to the three day convention, including all workshops, lectures and exhibits, AND one showing each of FOTR, TTT and ROTK.

Dammit, first the money on the must-have costume, then the money on the must-have ticket, now the money on the must-go Medieval Times.... :p

Josh is gonna be a very poor boy this December! :D

*hopes Santa gives him the combined economic strength of several European countries this year* [face_mischief]
