Campaign for Clones at the Glasgow IMAX

well, fiddledy-dee, I've heard quite enough about how successful the IMAX version of AOTC has been in the USA, thankyou very much, and now I want to see it myself.

Glasgow has a spanking new IMAX theatre, adjacent to the clydeside science centre, but, as yet, it has singularly failed to hire itself a copy of AOTC IMAX.

as a mere cinema-going punter, the only step I can take to change this dreadful situation is to phone the Glasgow IMAX - 0141 420 5000 - and mail its public relations people at info@real-pr.co.uk and repeatedly, politely, ask them again and again and again WHEN are they going to get the finger out and SHOW ME THIS MOVIE????

I would be grateful to any fellow Scots who could find the time to make a similar gesture.

Who knows ? we might just convince the Glasgow IMAX management that there are actually lots of people ready and willing to buy tickets for this.

My this is like the good old times back here! I was also thinking of this the other day as I was going to take my yound lad to Imax and wondered if AOTC would be shown inn Glasgow - there is also a version of Apollo 13 for Imax which is good but no sign of that here either.

the important thing is that we're putting the idea into their pointy wee heads that there is money waiting to buy tickets for this show...

so anyone who has not yet mailed expressing interest in IMAX AOTC, please do so....... but lets try and pretend that we don't know each other - dinnae mention "our campaign"....

we want to look like genuine members of the general public, rather than the obsessive hardcore types that we actually are

anyone here work in schools or kids groups or colleges?
It would do no harm to suggest (not promise) that you are representing bus-fulls of kids who are just itching to see Star Wars on the BIG screen.

this film MUST come to the Glasgow IMAX, or THEY are missing a huge chance to boost their own business..........

at least, that's what we're telling them

I met with one of the Glasgow Science Centre managers today, and he told me the next big thing coming to their IMAX screen would be matrix reloaded....

however, there is a 'big screen' festival planned for the autumn which, he expects, will involve screenings of 'several big films'.

Matrix Reloaded is showing at the Glasgow IMAX all this week.

I happened to be in Glasgow at the weekend and managed to drag a friend to the IMAX on Sunday.

Wow... just, wow.
