    Hi,

I am trying to identify what music is playing in the film "The Karate Kid" when the main character, Daniel, is splashing about in the waves at the beach, trying to learn balance. I think it is a piece of classical music, but can't find out what it's called for the life of me.

Any help would be most appreciated!!

I haven't seen the movie in a while, but I'd guess it's from Bill Conti's score.

My vague memories of the movie tell me it was Conti's score. Unfortunately, I don't think there has ever been a release of his score. Soundtrack.net, however, has a bootleg release in their database. In their track listing, I would say "Training Hard" is very likely the cue you are looking for. Still, I hope the score is officially released one day. Fond memories.

I have a very good friend who is good friends with Bill Conti. He may be able to get a copy of the cue. Don't get your hopes up though.

You could also look Here, but these is no indication of any 'classical' music being used
