Discussion Can the Millennium Falcon really outrun any Imperial ship?

    In a New Hope Han Solo brags that the Millennium Flacon can outrun any Imperial ship but in The Empire Strikes Back the Imperials get to Cloud City first. Can anyone explain this?

    The Falcon was slower than usual due to problems with it's hyper-drive.
