Can we get some YJCC mods who actually participate?

In short, the YJCC mods aren't participating enough

Sadly, I have to put a bunch of qualifiers in here: Yes its set up so we have one mod per "time period," and yes I understand that "There's no Star Wars movies coming out so its slow," and "if there is nothing wrong, no reason to post."

In my head, a YJCC mod should be participating in the YJCC during their "shift." Like posting and even *gasp* making threads if its slow. We all know a colored person's posts are going to generate traffic, so why not use that powar!

You'll argue that its slow so what could they post about? Well, if its that slow why do we need a mod on 24/7?

I think that enough of the community is connected on Facebook/AIM/whatever that if there was an emergency it could be taken of very quickly.

So why actually make someone do a shift when they aren't going to participate?

I'm reasonably sure the current group, as a whole, posts more than some past JCC mod teams. But I've always felt one of the keys to effectively modding the JCC is active participation. In short, Kate, post more!
