Canada wayyy behind in Saga figures...

Some of parts of Canada are just finally receiving their very first 2003 figures Canada has seen at retail! Not to mention, these are the first new figures Canada has seen in more then 6 months at retail! Retail in Canada has missed out on quite a few figures that never made it to retail. TRU's up here just received the following saga figs:

-Anakin Skywalker (Secret Ceremony)
-Boba Fett (Pit of Carkoon)
-Mace Windu (Arena Confrontation)
-Obi-Wan Kenobi (Acklay Battle)
-R2-D2 (Droid Factory Flight)
-Destroyer Droid
-Chewbacca (Mynock Hunt)
-Han Solo (Hoth Rescue)

The only real good thing about the new figs
showing up here, is they are on Canadian Cards w/inserts.


I know these figures have been down in the US for quite some time. It's quite a joke up here. Retailers just aren't ordering. Thats the problem. Since retailers aren't ordering up here, there is no other choice but to order at on-line retailers.

We have a similar problem where I live. I think some of you may be familiar with NYC?

I did hear about a few figures showing up, but of course they did not last for more than a day. AMAZING!!!

Yeah, I had to order most of the stuff you listed. I hope things will be easier to find when I move to New Jersey.

Anyway, I live in NW PA and I haven't seen any of those figures yet. Heck, there are figure that were scheduled for release before those that I still haven't seen in store...

Wpg, MB in Canada is the obsolute worst place in the world to be a Star Wars collector. Nothing new here since Episode 2 was in theaters. I kid you not.

Quit whining the most recent toy in a 200 mile radius from my house in the past 5 months has been Watto.

 

In a stroke of luck I managed to find two 12" characters from the saga series in this wasteland of Star Wars collecting.

Obi and Anakin 12", both on sale for $14CND!! That's like $10 US! And at the least likely store. Go figure.

 

Actually it might appear that a few Toys R Us stores in Canada are getting in some of the newer (post 2002) waves which consist of Han Solo Hoth Rescue, Chewbacca Mynock Hunt, R2-D2 Droid Factory Flight, Anakin Skywalker Secret Ceremony and Mace Windu Arena Confrontation. It is the first sign of light
in 8 months up here...

 

Toronto and Vancouver are usually pretty lucky. I've heard Calgary can be a decent collecting city as well. But in Saskscratchyourass and Manitoba it's as dry as death valley.

 

I myself have not seen the majority of those figures either. Actually, I had to resort to the dreaded eBay to get a couple of them.

 

I have seen all the figures he named except for the Han Solo. The others I have seen a few times and own them.

I havent seen alot of the figures after that wave though
