Yea. We filmed there too, in the snow (broke the tripod and lightsabers, and killed a battery... we don't have a fanfilm but we do have a great blooper reel). You still haven't told us where to find your film yet!

 

Where? the Ruins or McMaster? and I am trying to find a host for the video file, or asking my friend if the video is still hosted....

 

Anyone in the GTA or within Driving Distance interested in lending info and hands to a possible project? I am not saying much about it but trying to see who wants to help. Right now I mostly need help with the scripting.

I am an editor at best, not a writer so this is not the best part of production for me lol.

Oh and if anyone ever wants a little help editing.

 

Man... I've already got projects going on in London Ontario and Montreal... adding Toroto would just mess my budget up... but me and the WB crew can always help with writing, depending on the project.

 

I'm not much of a script writer...but I do know how to write story wise. I was trying to help one guy out with his SW fan film at one point...but it seems like he's vanished and hasn't bothered to contact me to say otherwise. He loved the way I reworked his story and seemed ready to join forces to build the script...but...so far...been rather quiet.

Anyhoo...I live just outside the GTA area (Just past Brampton I should say), but you want to talk more about it then pm me and I'll see if I can help ya out.

 

I'm willing to help in anyway possible. PM with your script, I'll see what I can do with suggestions.

 

Currently its not exactly in script form. Someone made the suggestion that too many amateurs write too much dialogue and writing it as a silent movie (mostly action little dialogue) will help shape an idea. So right now i am working out the logistics of the action scene by scene.

And detailed notes are being kept on this as I hope to direct this as well.

BAD IDEA.

The trick with dialouge is don't try too hard to preach to your audience or sell them on some concept. They'll know. Other than that knock yourself out. Plan to overwrite and then when the whole monster is finished cut the **** out you don't need for the story to make sense.

If you authenticaly have a hard time with dialouge, then yea, you can take it slow or leave several scenes silent. However writing the action scenes and dialouge seperate makes the final result seem unnatural, blocky even.
