I got my car back from the shop after forking over $900.

I saw this and thought it was funny.

 

The Holiday Special is best saved for Christmas anyway.

 

I just can't get over Itchy's...well...you know.

 

I watched the HS for the first time about a month ago.

I haven't fully recovered yet.

 

I'm slowly being desensitized to Itchy. I made it through the scene last Christmas without having to leave the room in utter embarrassment. It's easier to deal with Leia's singing, which honestly isn't that bad.

The Cantina segment is still my favorite. Definitely one of the best of the live-action segments.

 

I watched it with some friends a couple years ago. It involved plenty of alcohol because we were young and dumb and bored.

So, during my driving lesson, my instructor was telling me how to do a 3-point turn, so he pulls out some hot wheels cars and a road printed on a placemat and used that to show me how. It was so random yet so helpful, it made paying for lessons so worth it.

 

I have never seen the Holiday Special. Should I have?

I don't even know where I would get my hands on a copy of it.

 

It's probably on YouTube somewhere. No one wants to enforce copyright on it because nobody wants to admit owning copyright to that...thing.

 

I watched it on YouTube and a friend gave me an AVI of it, which I've used to make copies.

 

It is after I rested it last night. Haven't been limping as much. I need to haul some laundry over to the laundry room, so we'll see how it fares.

 

I don't know if I saw the SW Holiday Special. If I did it would be when it was shown on TV...was that 1978? Maybe I saw it but have repressed the memory. I have seen a couple clips throughout the years on these boards.

 

I've seen enough screen caps to know that I never need to see it. I think my college roommate acquired it at one point, but we could never get ourselves drunk enough to watch it. So we got drunk and watched Mark Hamill in "Black Magic Woman" instead. The HS would probably have been better.

 

The Black Magic Woman shower scene was the photo reference for my icon. FalconFan drew it for me after I sent her a bunch of screen shots.

I didn't mean to kill the thread!

 

I've managed to dig up some pretty obscure stuff on the interwebs, but Black Magic Woman is one of those things I can not find. Though, if it's worse than HS, I don't think I want to find it. I think all involved wanted it destroyed, so maybe there's a reason I've never been able to.

 

The only "Black Magic Woman" I know of is the song by Santana.
