I would absolutely go canoing again soon, but I can honestly say that the likelihood that I could do it on a Saturday or Sunday is very low. Odds are that I'm going to be taking a 2 month Advanced Scuba class on the weekends, fairly soon.

Good idea, hope it pans out.

Should we wait for all this Hurricane madness to end first?

I say we do something different. Do a few different things before we start doing the same thing again. Kind of spice it up a little.

    Okay, canoeing is out.

    How about rafting?

    :p

Seriously, I think we have that day of Star Wars DVDs thing coming up, so that covers the September meeting. Maybe we should think of some meeting/event we can do in October. Maybe something Halloweeny?

True about the trilogy marathon being a meeting. I know it'll be a smaller group this day, but gosh darn it, some of us actually work to get these days off and planned in advance. And we often meet on my worst day, Saturday, so this is refreshing.

I disagree about postponing any gathering inside or out till the end of the hurricane season- because it ends at the holiday season. And that's the true test of holding the group together, to survive everybody's wiggy schedules then.
