    Hello there.

    I am working on a star wars campaign were I have modified the setting and removed a lot of the EU. Currently I am working on the big ships of the Star Wars universe, and I need some help.

    Can any of you provide med with pictures of the following ships & vehicle? [face_praying]

    Venator-Class
    MC80
    MC90
    LAAT/i

    If you have pictures of other Capital-Class ships I would also be interrested. Since the pictures I need are for a list of ships and their statistics I need the picture to be a non combat picture and to not have it include other ships. The ideal picture would be a silhouette, but any picture is welcome.

    Pictures like these are ideal.

    Thanks. [face_peace]

    An awesome resource for pics for RPG is swagonline... can't recall the url right now, but just google "SWAGOnline". It stands for Star Wars Artists' Guild... they have a ton of pics there.

    These might help a bit:
    [img src="http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-30.jpg"]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-31.jpg]

    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-36.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-37.jpg]

    You'll have to trim them, as they are scans of the entire page & I didn't have time to crop to just the image.

    WEG Pirates & Privateers book has siloettes of a lot more, mostly freightors & transports, but also combat ships. Also the WEG Imperial sourcebook and the WEG Rebel Alliance book. There were 3 Starlog Technical Journals (they were later compiled into a single book) with lots of photos.
    I'll see if I can't find more for you.

    Actually, I'm out of space on my website, so when you're done getting those, let me know & I'll put up more. Have Nebulon Frigate, more Mon Cal Cruisers, Tantavee 4, huge Star Destroyer, and maybe a couple more.

    Well I am generally always looking for vehicles & ships to use for a future star wars campaign I have been workign on for a while. The reason I need these pictures is that I am trying to compile a list with pictures of the ships/vehicles I am using in the campaign.

    The setting is a few years after Endor, and the reason I am looking for all kinds of ships/vehicles (including old ones) is that I have discarded the official AU in order to make one I like better.

    So any picture you have, that is preferably B&W and look a little like the ones I posted at the top of this thead would be grately appreciated.

    Hmmm...
    Somewhere or other I have a RotJ sketchbook. Not sure how useful it would be. Kinda funny to see that some of the concept sketches were later adapted to be other makes&models for the RPG.

    You could always sketch the stuff yourself. Or, failing that, ask someone to do it for you. May not be "cannon", but who cares?

    AutoCAD and CorelDraw are excellent programs to work with. Failing that, there's always Adobe Illustrator (but who wants to use that conter-intuitive POS?)

    Need volunteers?

    I took some photos of the RotJ sketchbook pages with my digital camera for you.
    They aren't that great, mainly because I had to hold the book open by hand with my cat trying to use the lense-cap as a batting toy. Please excuse the occasional finger or page centerfold/gutter.
    I have made only minor color-correction.

    First is an alternate B-Wing concept:
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch1.jpg]

    Here are some alternat Mon Cal cruisers. Since each MC ship is an individual and unique vessel with just the same general stats, any of these can be used for MC80s or 90s:
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch2.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch3.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch4.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch5.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch6.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch7.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch8.jpg]

    Here are some alternate idea for the Imperial Shuttle. One of them has been used as a Lang--something or other Hauler freighter.
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch9.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch11.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch12.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch13.jpg]

    Different Concept sketches for speeder-bikes:
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch14.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch15.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch16.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch17.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch18.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch19.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch20.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch21.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch22.jpg]

    And some sailbarge/skiff concepts:
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch23.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/sktch24.jpg]

    This is only a fraction of what is in the Sketchbook. (Figured you didn't want the Jabba, Gamorean, Rancor, deathstar (int & Ext) or ewok stuff)
    Hope you can put it to some use.

    No problem. Ralph McQuarrie & Norman Reynolds sketches ought to be workable for Cannon ship illustrations.=P~

    If I'm really bored one day, :p I may take a stab at illustrating one of the Clone Troop gunships for you. It would be based on the toy, but better than nothing, I suppose. Might even give you a shaded vector image to scale & play with. Others would be depending one what else I have time for.[face_not_talking] Any particular requests? There are a few images from Pirates&Privateers that are just silloettesI-) that I could probablly do something interesting with.

    Tell us what you want. We'll see if we can't manage something. The more specific you are, the better.

    The best pictures are Black & White, pictures not links (like the ones I've posted) & pictures that are on 1 page and not spread over several pages (Several pages are difficult to make into one picture that can be used on A4 size papers for printing). The best thing is a Black & White silhouette.

    Once again I need the following:

    LAAT/i
    Mon Calamari MC80 & MC90
    Venator-Clas Star Destroyer
    Nebulon-B Frigate
    CR90 Correlian Corvette
    Bulk Cruiser
    Strike-Class Medium Cruiser
    Corellian Gunship
    Interdictor-Class Heavy Cruiser
    Incom T-65 X-Wing Starfighter
    BTL Y-Wing Starfighter
    A-Wing
    B-Wing

    I'm gonna show you a few examples of the pictures I have, that are the type of pictures I need.

    This may be a silly question, but have you picked up a copy of either the 1st or 2nd edition starwars sourcebook published by WEG? In addition to photographs, many of the concept sketches (including ones from the RotJ sketchbook) are in there in a smaller size that may be easier for you to use.

    I'm sure you can find one easily enough on eBay for $5 or less.

    How do you get the images to show up? I click the "image" button, past in the url, and it gives me:
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-15.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-16.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-17.jpg]
    (your a-wing and b-wing images, by the way)

    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-30.jpg]
    (corellian corvette)

    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-36.jpg]
    [image=http://www.geocities.com/koohii@sbcglobal.net/starwars/SW-SB-37.jpg]
    MC 80s

    Hmmm. That's what I do too. Maybe it's the file size that the system doesn't like.:confused:

    Were those pages of any use? You'd have to trim to just the images and maybe shift a couple from blue-print to black, but otherwise...
    ?

    I just used paint to cut out the part of the picture I needed.

    The best ones so far were the Mon Cal and the Medium Transport and the Corellian Corvette.

    Thanks.
