Captain Antilles

Are Captain Antilles and Wedge Antilles the same person or are they related? If either are true, why didn't Luke react when he heard the name? I thought Wedge and he were friends on Tattooine.

 

Captain Antilles and Wedge can't be the same person since Vader killed Captain Antilles on the Tantive IV.

And it was Biggs who was friends with Luke on Tatooine. Wedge and Luke didn't meet until the last half of ANH.

"Antilles" is kind of the Star Wars version of "Smith" - it's a common last name. We've had Wedge Antilles, hero of the Rebellion, Captain Antilles, daring and loyal commander of the Tantive IV, and Bail Antilles, former Senator for Alderaan (before Bail Organa). So, no, Wedge Antilles and Captain Antilles aren't related, as far as we know.

Yeah, that dude can't be Wedge's dad either, cause Wedge's parents were killed when he was pretty young.
