Captain Antilles!

I know who he is now.

He is the guy that Vader chokes to death on board the Tantive IV in the beggining of ANH!

Did anyone know this? I know some thought it was Bail Organa, who we thought was "Bail Antilles" from Episode I.

Interesting stuff, really.

Bail is like the Tom, Ben name of Star Wars. Antilles is like the Jones or Smith of England. Point solved. Is a bit confusing but hey!

 

Antilles must be some kind of cousin of the Emperor's Advisors. Can't imagine how else so many thread could be about him

 

I don't think we actually get to see him.

 

Maybe the dudes stood behind the emperor are all called antilles...

 

You mean those minions in ROTJ? When I was a kid I always thought they were apprentices of Palpatine.

i wouldn't apologise mate, I think these boards fall susceptible to the problem that the films are of finite length, so in a sense there is a finite set of questions that people are curious about. I've only been using the forum for a few months, and I'm starting to see the same questions or views etc pop up, guess it's just one of those things
What I do like is when people post things like "bed you didn't know this..." as if they are the only people on a message board of thousands to have noticed it in the films. The joy of the internet, there's a more obsessed fan than yourself

 

Maybe Captain Antilles figured out if Grand Moff Tarkin was Darth Vader's boss or not...

 

That was indeed Captan Antilles that Vader choked in the begining of ANH.
