This show was awesome. It had such great characters coming from games like Mega Man, Metroid, the Legend of Zelda, and Castlevania just to name a few. I always liked it when it had more two do with Zelda or Mega Man but that's just me. But Mother Brain was my favorite character. What a voice.

I wouldn't mind having the power to pause everything at will like Captain N had. Though it was kinda cheap.

Anyone else here a Captain N fan?

Mega Man with a visor and his arm isn't a cannon? I don't know about that!

I liked how, for the couple episodes they had Link and Zelda, they kept the same vocie actors who played them in teh Zelda cartoon from the Super Mario Bros Super Show.

(One of my favorite moments- when Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo had stolen one of the Triforces, and then Zelda recovers it and uses it to banish them "I want you out of my kingdom!")

Yeah I liked it when the Tri-Force was involved. Even Gannon made some cameos. I remember Mother Brain trying to bring Gannon back to life, then when she and Dr. Wily accomplish the task, Gannon betrays them.

For what it's worth, I fondly remember it!

I used to have a few videos a few years back, wonder what happened to them...

I remember in the 2nd season Game Boy became a character. And he was...well...a man-sized Game Boy.

    hahahaha,
i remeber and loved this show.
dont forget Simon Belmont from Castlevania and Kid Iccurus.

I loved how Capt N, was able to use his power belt (a nintendo controller) to pause everything or "B run"
also, just having the Zapper as a gun, was the bomb.

i liekd the episoide where they went to Tetris land.

and that princess reminded me of Kelly on Saved by the bell (random, i know)

I always wanted them to go more into the Mega Man worlds. The only two I remember was Top World and Cut Man's world. I remember Captain N pausing one of those huge stomping Robots was he was about to jump. Funny stuff.

Interesting in concept, but made kid friendly for NBC network. All of the characters were modified in the animated continuity. Mega Man's weapons weren't as destructive as they are in the games. Pit was just called Kid Icarus. Simon Belmont was the most different. Here he's a big, blonde haired moron. With a huge chin and a big ego.

    Simon Belmont.

    Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo.

The show's premise is that Kevin is a NES wizard who is brought into the video game world known as Video Land. There he fights with a band of heroes against Mother Brain. Other NES characters turned up for a one shot episode. The Legend Of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Robin Hood, Marble Madness and Tetris were among the many crossover games. They'd also visit the continuities of the newer games, such as Castlevania III and Mega Man III. They'd even play music from the games themselves when the characters were having a solo moment. They'd often play "Message Of Darkness" from the second Castlevania game.

We truly need to remember King Hippo and the Eggplant Wizard when it's time to make Halloween icons this year.
