Mara calling Luke "Master" that will be fun and leading to sweet moments
This week's prompts were: fun; games; laugh; play; holiday/vacation.
Mara never had a holiday growing up. If she did, it was way before coherent memories, or perhaps the Emperor had seen to it that she didn't remember such with her family. Then, when she started working for Karrde, and then for her own independent trading interests, a vacation was a luxury. She felt it was not something she knew enough about to miss. As for formal games, she did not indulge in playing these much, although she knew passing enough about sabacc to compete and know when someone was trying to cheat. Mara did enjoy a smashball match, and she didn't mind participating in friendly wagers over the winner. Luke taught Mara how to have fun, just by helping her relax and bringing out her snarky side. No one did it better. No one could make her laugh like Luke, either. It was something she had to grow comfortable with. Once she started to find her own kind of humor, she found she enjoyed the experience.
When Luke tickled Mara, strictly in private, her laugh took on a new, sweeter ring. His touch was playful, but it was also caressing. His blue eyes danced and sparkled with love and mischief. He was the only one who knew she was ticklish, and she swore him to secrecy, strict secrecy, or, she warned, she'd take out a particular body part of his. It was an empty threat, since if she removed that it would diminish her fun as well.
Very nice. I wish Luke had made a move with Mara when she was at the Academy. Why did he ignore her? I would have loved reading about them sneaking around. Maybe I'll write that and have Gantoris or Kyp catch them tickling each other.
Lovely put together in one sweet moment. Mara ticklish; that will be fun for Luke and her
Lovely sweet moment! And of course, all Mara's threats involving Luke's body are empty
I'll say it would *grins*
Hehehe! Yeah, Mara likes Luke's body parts correctly attached.
Mara would never cut any parts of Luke's body. I think, she is quite fond of them herself
Only Luke should know about her tickle weakness...
Very cute post!
Week 12 Prompts are:
sense smell hear see touch.
Luke could not see the point in this bit of Rogue teasing. He had been hanging around Shira Brie for quite the long while, intrigued by her green eyes and enigmatic past. She didn't tell much about herself, but that only hightened the mystery. It didn't hurt that she was gorgeous.
When she left abruptly, he was confused about it, but not broken hearted. Apparently, he concluded, it was just a passing crush.
When Luke fell for Mara, he decided that somewhere in the depths of his soul, he'd been looking for Mara, even then.
Han didn't believe it. He did hear it correctly. Then he saw it on the 'Net. Mara around the various sectors with one of his most notorious acquaintances/friends. He had to believe Mara's motives weren't romantic, just business. Had to be. She and Luke ... he hadn't been born yesterday: he could almost taste the electricity between them, even if they couldn't. He never knew anyone could be so oblivious.
Mara's sense when she was pregnant was a jumble of hormone-induced moods. Predominant among these at first was uncertainty, but then as time went by, it was replaced by anticipation and happiness.
"We can do this!" She told herself. Her normal self-confidence asserted itself.
Mara could feel Luke's joy like a warm fire through their bond and across the room, even when she wasn't looking at him, she could feel it.
He loved the touch of Mara's red-gold tresses, and her satiny curves. It made Luke feel all warm and fuzzy to see her wearing one of his shirts. She was so gorgeous in evening formal wear and in a negligee ... she was exquisite!!
But the fact that she liked wearing his cast off shirts was touching. It showed a softer side ... one he alone was privy to.
The smell of thickly sliced potatoes and sausages and onions frying in a skillet made Luke's mouth water. He got up ravenous and stayed that way most of the day. Mara laughed ... even after 10 years of marriage, he ate more than their kids at times.
He had the physique and stamina of a much younger man as well, she was delighted to admit, and he was all hers. She was the only thing that could tempt Luke Skywalker from a second helping of food. If he caught even a hint of her ... desire, or playful sultry seduction, the food would get stowed in the cooling unit in less than a minute.
It was quite flattering.
@Jedi_Lover -- the Myrkr encounter set the tone for this week's set
@Hazel - for when you get back.
I love it! Very sweet!
Hehehe. Great little moments
Sweet and mushy, just like you write them. Loved them all.
This last post was very sweet..
I really liked the little bit with Han and his take on how obviously right Luke/Mara are for each other!
And the bit at the end.. Mara's a lucky lady to have such an attentive man!
Very nice post!
Ooh, very very sweet!
Prompts for week 13 are:
nemories expectations past present future
Inspired by JL's Elusive Bliss.
Luke had been sloshed - absolutely sloshed that evening after he'd given Mara his Father's lightsaber. He barely remembered anything they did; the memories were a haze. The only thing he did recall was a flush of happiness at being with her and his total lack of care and burdens. He knew she must have felt tenfold that, now that she was finally free of Palpatine's influence.
He never, ever regretted giving her his father's lightsaber.
What did such a gift represent? Was it a symbol only of his past and of hers? Of their present friendship, or something more in the future?
She was a brave ally and a formidable foe. He was glad they weren't on opposite sides anymore, even if it had been externally enforced by the remnants of the Emperor's final command.
What had Mara's expectations been when she came to the Academy/Praxeum? Luke frowned. Had he stayed aloof from her on purpose, not singling her out so as not to make her self-conscious about her extra training under the Empire? Or could it be because unconsciously he felt more for her than friendship but didn't want to risk rejection at her hands?
Now he was caught in the mire of a relationship that was going nowhere with Callista, who had her own agendas for being with him at all. He had latched onto her in some kind of out-of-mind daze, when it was Mara ... the elusive and gorgeous Mara Jade he needed, desired!!
HA! You may actually inspire me to write more on Elusive Bliss.
Hee. Very sweet!
Great add-on to JL's fic! Luke should definitely chase his happiness.
Good job writing some encouragement for J_L. Don't you wonder what happened after Mara said that she'd go with Luke? I mean, what did they talk about going down the stairs? I guess that's what brought us all here in the first place.
Glad that Luke and Calista didn't work at all. Luke and Mara are meant for each other.
Prompts are: tent, cave, hut, house, castle.
Mara sighed and moved the air-speeder into the farther lane of traffic. The driver in front was not looking where he was going, was paying too much attention to a conversation he was having with a passenger, and thus was driving way below the allowed limit.
In the storage compartment, Mara had a bunch of carrysacks full of new outfits: lovely things to wear for formal evenings out, casual dresses, and other intimate apparel for her love's eyes and hands to enjoy.
Mara grimaced, in memory.
"I'm not used to buying things for myself." She had told Leia on their shopping trip. Mara was used to functional, pragmatic wear for work tasks and fixing up her Fire and then tooling around in the Sabre.
Mara wasn't given to frivolous self-indulgence. She hadn't been raised in a fancy castle ...
However, Luke's reaction to her formal evening attire, which flattered her figure and highlighted her beauty, (and even more so), his delight at her lingerie made the purchases worth it.
Luke would never want to retire like a recluse in a hut ...
His children, however, and then when they got married, his children-in-law (was that even a word?) insisted that he take it easy.
"You've earned it." They'd insist.
He'd roll his eyes at them and sigh long-sufferingly.
"He's tuning us out." His son-in-law would murmur.
"Going in one ear and out the other." His daughter-in-law would agree.
Mara, as it happened, was just as stubborn. She didn't listen to them, either.
Luke and Mara had enjoyed their brief jaunt on Garqi in a shared tent ... Mara wanted to see the sights, hike up and down trails, etc. If it were up to Luke, they would've just stayed in the tent and entertained one another, amorously.
Mara had to admit that 9/10ths of the reason she liked hiking up trails was Luke's "rear" view.
When they were on Hapes for their honeymoon, their passionate romps were so engrossing that it was virtually and always a tie as to whose idea it was to stay in.
"It's up to you." Luke told Mara. "Decorate the house anyway you want."
Mara frowned. "I don't know the first thing about such things. I was never groundside long enough to go in for interior design."
"And I was?" Luke rejoined. "Should we hire a consultant, then?"
Mara groaned. "And have them come up with silly things we don't want and pay them creds for the trouble? No, thanks. We'll come up with something."
Eventually, between the two of them, they had a room in Mara's taste, and a room in his, each of their personal retreats. The rest was a compromise of reciprocal allowances.
Liked how both Mara & Luke dont hav clue about interior design lol..
But then they've had more important matters to handle
That was a wonderful use for this week's prompts
Mara will follow Luke anywhere...just so she can see his cute butt! Sweet!
