Yes, I got a mod to approve this, so long as cards that need more than asterisks to become TOS compliant are scrapped. I pulled replacement material off the interwebz, so we'll be playing with the regular number of cards. I've simplified the "off the box" rules a little bit--it'll work almost exactly like Apples to Apples. Only horrible. Deliciously, wonderfully horrible. We can have up to 12 players. Every round one player will serve as the judge. At the beginning of each game I will pm everyone their first set of ten white cards. These cards are all nouns or noun phrases, such as "Seduction" or "Feeding Rosie O'Donnell." Next I will post a black card, which are questions or sentences with blanks in them, such as this: "I drink to forget ______." All the players who aren’t judging will pick a white card that fits the meaning of the black card. Some black cards have two or more blanks. To answer these, each player picks two white cards in combination. They should PM their card choices to me in the order they want them read. All white card PM's should be sent within 24 hours of the start of a round. It's good strategy to choose a card that you think the judge will pick, but you can just throw in whatever you think is funniest. After the 24 hours is up, I will post the white card choices for the judge. The judge then has 24 hours to PM me the card he or she chooses. The player whose card is chosen gets 1 point. After the first round is over, I will PM everyone a new white card so players always have 10 to choose from. Then we will begin again, with the second player on the list as the judge. If a player misses sending in a white card within the 24 hour time window the omission is ignored, and we just play without them. If a player takes longer than 24 hours to judge, that round is scrapped and the judge player is provisionally out. Someone who missed one turn at judging can get back into the game by PM'ing me a statement to the effect that they won't miss another turn. If they miss 2 turns judging, they are out of the game, because waiting around forever for the game to proceed is annoying. First player to amass 10 cards wins.
