WHAT: Ronald McDonald House Carnival
WHERE: 2555 49th Street, Sacramento, CA 95817 (916)734-4226
WHEN: Friday, October 22, 2010 6-8 PM

WHY: Our annual Carnival provides a fun time for the children staying at the House, UCDMC and Shriners Hospitals and the neighborhood children. Everything for this free event is donated and sponsored by volunteers.


Booth Sponsors will:
? Provide the game or craft
? Provide prizes for about 250 children. Please no gum or small balls.
? Man their booth
? Set up and tear down their booth
? Provide a table if needed. If you do not have one, let us know and we will provide one. We have a limited number of tables available.
? Be set up and ready to go by 5:30 PM. The gates will be open for set up at 4 PM.
? Decorate your booth as you like



The Ronald McDonald House will:[face_alien_1]
? Register volunteers from 4-6 PM
? Provide drinks and snacks
? Ensure that children will not be allowed to enter or leave the premises without an adult with them.
? Meet with volunteers at 5:30 PM to review the agenda for the evening.



Volunteers:
? May bring your children to this event
? May park in our parking lot or on the street

I can't wait for this one! I had so much fun last year, one of my favorite things that our group does. I should also be rock'n my TK armor too!

Bought a ton of medals today and some yummy candy, so now we're set! I am looking forward to this event -- it's always such a good time.

Maybe we can all go out to dinner afterwards? Anyone up for it?

 

Sweet, I can't wait for this event, its so fun to see all the kids dressed up, and I can't wait to debut my armor!

I'm also totally up for doing dinner after the event.

I'm excited to see the armor, DZ! That is VERY cool. I think Marric needs some, too...try to talk him into getting some!!

 

If I can swing it, I will ask for a morning shift at work, so I can help with this event, since I missed the recent cons.

Yes, Marric definitely should armor up, its so fun! I was walking down my driveway the other day fully armored up and I think I freaked out our neighbor across the street that was doing some yard work! Its not every day you just see a Storm Trooper standing there on the sidewalk.

TJ, you gotta be at the event, we need to see Barf and/or maybe Darth Darth Binks! I mean this year he'll have some troopers to escort him around instead of Jedi trying to kill him.

More then likely it will be some tricksy Binkses, since I haven't had much luck (i.e. found the necessary additional costume pieces conveniently waiting for me out in the open) with Barf. Although, I could do Barf Barf Binks...

I finished the new color sheet for this year, went with the villains since I did the bad guys last year! Jedidoria I sent you a PM with the links to the pic (with and without a boarder around it), but I'll post them here to cover my bases and also folks can check it out!

Anyway here we go, hopefully we can get some printed up before the event!

The Carnevil was so much fun, I really like attending that event! I had a blast "Trooping" with Vos, hanging out with the group at the event and at Mels afterwards and interacting with all the kids and their families, hopefully we didn't scare too many of them. Next year, we gotta pack a tarp with some ties (in case we have another rain incident), and some portable lights so we're not in the dark! Or just try not to be placed behind Home Depot anymore. Still no clue what they had kids building.
