CT Carrie Fisher has apparently passed away

Forgive me if this has already been posted. Holy hell, I thought she was going to pull through. RIP Princess Leia. You are now one with the force.

It's true. It's everywhere now.

May Carrie rest in peace now. Thank you so much.

 

It's too sad. I just don't want to think about it... It felt like she had everything together this last couple of years.

 

Wow. This year is non-stop with artists.

May she rest in peace. The Force will be with her. Always.

Not a huge fan of the OT, but Princess Leia was a great character. Ill never see the Disney Movies, but at least she got to participate in one of the Disney Movies. Ill watch Episode V when I get off today.

Damn! She was great as Leia, bringing that perfect combination of defiance, snarkiness and strength to the part. In real life, she was wonderfully clever and funny. Read some of the stuff she wrote about her STAR WARS fame. It’s really hilarious. A true talent has just been lost.

 

The franchise certainly won't be the same.

This has really turned into an unbelievable year.

Star Wars was lucky to have such a funny, witty, sassy, switched-on, down-to-Earth "princess" -- on-screen and off.

Carrie is way too young to have left us. May she rest in peace.

 

I am so absolutely gutted right now. Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, was one of my idols growing up. She was one of those quintessential characters that defined my childhood. You all know how I feel about Star Wars, what it means to me, and how much it has since I was a little kid. It's shaped who I am in a LOT of ways, more ways than I could ever write down right now. My head is literally spinning as a result of this.

Carrie has had a LOT of issues in her life, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, etc., and aside from her acting career, she has been a huge advocate on these topics, enlightening and educating the world.

For what it is worth, I'm glad that she got to continue her self-proclaimed mantle as the "Custodian of Princess Leia" one last time, with last year's release of The Force Awakens and next year's Episode VIII. I'm sure she was supposed to be in Episode IX as well.

There are always those people, celebrities, that you never know in life but still manage to factor into your own in a pretty huge way through their work. Carrie was, and will continue to be, one of those people for me. Rest in peace, and may the Force be with you, to one of the people who helped shape me into who I am, however indirectly.

 

Very heartbroken over this news. 2016 has taken way too many good people from us.

May the force always be with you sweet princess.

 

Our thoughts and prayers are for her friends and family. It's so sad, it's been a bad year for people passing away.

 

A role model for many young girls. A true heroine, breaking molds. The Princess Leia character is iconic. One for the ages.


Carrie Fisher, the actress who brought her to life, will be missed.

Extremely sad - I'm still in shock. Princess Leia was one of my childhood icons. RIP CF.

 

It's difficult to know just what to say. Thank you for so, so much, Carrie. You were incredible.
