Yes she develop her powers we all know she first used them in TESB when Luke called to her for help on Bespin Cloud City she & Han married in 8 aby she had twins Jacen & Jaina in a year later then Anakin in 10.5 aby she went on to lead the new republic as chief of state for many years.

Pretty good comparing the SW Royal Family Leia, Luke and Han with the British Royal Family, both are disfunctional.

 

Poor guy might not know. I keep saying there is definitely going to be a segment (a really really really small but it will be a thing) of the movie audience who is stepped in EU with zero awareness of the de-canonization of it and they'll be happily sitting in their seats, jabbering excitedly to their friends about how Chewie was murdered by a moon in the Vong war and the movie is going to be about Jedi Master Jania Solo and Ben Skywalker taking on the Lost Tribe of the Sith, all after the events of "Crucible". And then the movie will happen.

Should be fascinating to watch, really.

 

Funny you say that, I had to break the news to someone last week, he was looking at the cast list and saying who he thinks will be who. He was chatting about Mara, Jaina, Ben, Thrawn and sun crushers. His response "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? But Kyle Katarn!"

Inside I was cackling!

 

I'm not sure how someone so into in the EU that they managed to get to "Crucible" and not know at this point the EU is non-canon.

 

I don't understand how anyone could think this has anything to do with the EU at this point.

 

They could live without Internet. Living behind a stack of Star Wars novels, made of a house entirely of gingerbread and discarded copies of The Crystal Star. They're gonna be in for a treat!

 

Ok I made a mistake

 

I can't help but be in a cloud of denial, hoping that some of the EU story arcs and plot characteristics will make it in. Leia as the leader of the Republic, her and han are still kickin' it, and they got their three kids, well, two after the Anakin Solo ordeal.

 

You know how this story ends right?

 

I tried to read the NJO, but for the life of me, I just couldn't care. I'm hoping SW VII keeps it simply, her kids, training to be Jedi's....nothing special.

 

I think is upcoming movie will be past that period the kids are adults this referring to Jacen & Jaina.

 

Even better. Children actors don't shine well in SW....or anything for that matter.

Carrie Fisher has problems remembering her lines so her role as Leia may be kinda brief! Just one shower scene. That's all.

So, the MakingStarWars.net podcast is usually pretty reliable. In their episode from November 23rd, they outlined the trailer in it's entirety before it was released. They had a ton of concept art before it was released online. And they're very cautious to report something if it's not true. They're about as reliable as you can get for sources.

Anyways, this week they reported they believe Leia is at the Greenham Commons set, that's where we meet here. They also reported multiple sources confirming there is a major 'twist' in Leia's character, and that everything is not as it first seems. Although no sources would provide further details, claiming it's too great of a spoiler.
