ST Carrie Fisher (Leia) in Episode VII (Sad News posted on Page 269)

That's just how they would arrange it to throw us off if he happened to be involved, though...

Yeah, I think the rumored Abrams/Kasdan rewrites are a sign that she and Harrison are going to be much more than cameos, at least in the first act of the ST.

 

Carrie already revealed that she'd be in London filming Star Wars for half a year.

That's not the filming schedule for a "very minor part".

 

Oh well that sounds more like it! Now i'm a little less worried.

 

Carrie Freaking Fisher is back in Star Wars land. And all is well with the world.

Wow! That's fantastic to hear! I haven't seen pictures of her in a few years, and had seen that Mark was looking well. Harrison has never looked bad.

I'm glad, because Leia has always been one of my favorite characters!

 

For some reason, I think Carrie/Leia is the one I'm *most* excited to see, and I'm not sure why. Han's probably my favorite by a slim margin, but I don't know. Maybe because it feels like a long time since I've seen her on the BIG screen. I'm just totally psyched to see our princess back in action.

 

I'm most excited about Leia as well. She's just always been my favorite of the big 3 (though I'm a fan of them all). I just have a thing for strong, feisty, beautiful heroines.

I have followed Fisher's career, and know she's a better actor than even the Star Wars films suggest. I'm very interested in seeing Carrie today's approach to the role. I also really think a lot of effort is going to be put into making older Leia look beautiful still, so I'm excited to see the look of Leia for this film.

 

I agree with Yanksfan on this! I love my buki, Han, but Leia is the one I really want to see. I've seen Carrie in person at conventions and on Broadway, but I really want to see her as Leia. I can't wait to see her up on the big screen bringing our favorite princess to life. Leia is the one that had the most potential as a character to still evolve, imo.

Carrie is iconic all by herself and is a big reason why Leia is iconic. Her strength of personality was always present in Leia and some of that old Hollywood regality that she grew up immersed in also came through. Casting her as Leia was the perfect choice and I as much as I love seeing Carrie in just about anything, this is one character I love seeing her play the most.

Hmm. Stephen Fry makes it seem like she's already left? I guess this is just a temporary leave before actual filming begins?

Even if she hadn't lost the 40lbs, she'd still be beautiful.

 

Yeah, she's also been tweeting from LA recently. I'm sure she was only in London for the table read and will be back once filming actually begins.

 

Yeah, seeing as filming hasn't started yet, I'm sure she flew down there for the whoopdedoo, and will be back next week. Fry obviously knows she's coming back from his tweet.

 

Yeah, she'll be back. She may not even start film till June or so. There's a lot of other things that could be shot before she's needed, and she likely won't need to Learn any choreography for Saber fights.

 

Peter Mayhew has also tweeted that he is back in the States. Must be the calm before the storm.

Hopefully he's busy breaking fiberglass poles.

 

I have not seen any.
