Such sad news, RIP Carrie

 

Still in shock.

Carrie was an amazing soul, a true gift. Gone but never forgotten, thank you for everything.

RIP.

 

This is so sad! RIP Carrie Fisher. You'll always be our Princess .

 

You made us all happier Carrie, Star Wars Celebration will be hollow without you.

 

She was a hero both onscreen and off. When I first saw ANH back in 77, I knew Leia was the kind of woman I hoped to be. Later I found out Carrie was a hero in real life as well, for standing up for the mental illness community, and helping to reduce the stigma of bipolar illness.

She will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans.

 

Omg. The big 3 aren't the big 3 in the same sense now. I'm so crushed. Had to come out of retirement and post here on this sad day.

 

I feared the worst and it came to pass. A sad day, indeed.

R.I.P. Carrie Fisher

You were an inspiration to many and your absence will be sorely felt.

 

Carrie Fisher, my heart goes out to your family. In the fickle world we live, this news brings tears to my eyes.

Your character is embedded into the Hearts of millions of people around the world, and you will be sorely missed.

I overheard a mention of her this evening, and came straight here to see if it was true. It's one of those things that stops you in your tracks. RIP Carrie. All the best to her friends and family.

I've been in the biggest funk today ever since my ex wife sent me the txt with this news. Do we yet know if they just had to pull the plug on vent or did she have a 2nd attack? I'm torn up man.

 

Those pics are beautiful and that pic of her dog breaks my heart!! This was so sad to hear....I just hope her family can find comfort in each other at this time.

 

She could've died while still on the vent-my dad was on one while brain dead and he died before decisions had to be made.

 

Very sad today. One of my first crushes when I was young and a wonderful lady.

 

Her already poignant performance in TFA is now even more so.

 

2016 was awful, but this is the saddest thing. A piece of my childhood died too.
May the force be with you our wonderful princess.

 

I know death knocks on every door, but I just wasn't ready for this. I think what makes this years celebrity deaths harder than the normal ones that happen every year is that these were mostly icons to those of us who grew up in the seventies and eighties. We are being forced to face our ages and say good bye to some important parts of our youth. Many of those who died aren't all the much older than we are, forcing us to face our own mortality as well as that of the people we love.

If it was like my dad's situation they may have realized there was no hope the family had to make some of the hardest decisions. No mother or daughter should have to make that decision. I supported my mother, but I hope my son never has to be in that place.

i am still in shock...i am so sad....beyond sad.....

we are very lucky that she was still healthy and fun of energy to bring us more SW, a new book and many fun interviews.
with her pass, we were lucky she was still with us.
i miss her terribly. and will always miss her. my love for her was huge.....she was like a fun aunt or something....grew up watching her.....
